Surgical Menopause - What should I expect? - What helps?

Sunday June 29, 2003
I'm about a month out from a total abdominal hysterectomy with both overies on their way out too. I have had endometriosis for 19 years (and I'm 35). So it is really time to be done. But the whole surgical menopause thing is "scaring" me a bit. I have four small children, and I want this whole thing to be a good change for our family, not one more "illness". So anyone who could give me a bit of insight into preparing for the menopause and what helps and what doesn't, I would be thrilled! Join this discussion!
