Help! I have missed my period. And I never have before in my life. It's so strange. I have pain sometimes at night like I'm going to start my period but I don't. I'm very tired all the time and hungry. Also I get dizzy and I am constipated. I feel sometimes like I have gained alot of weight but it might just be from all of these problems.
I haven't been dieting, working out hard, or been under stress. I thought I might be pregnant as my husband and I have been using the "pulling out method" for awhile now. So I took two HPTs and they were both negative. Then I went to the doctor. She told me the HPTs weren't accurate because it was too soon. But I took a blood test and it was negative also. I have another doctor's appointment coming up soon. But I was just wondering if anyone has any advice while I'm setting here on my thumbs.

OMG! the same thing is happening to me right now! I have a doctors apointment today so we’ll see what happens. I took 1 pregnancy test and that turned out negative too. I dident have my period for 2 monthes then the next month I had it and then again this month nothing. its so frustrating i just want to know whats going on.
I am going through the same thing right now that you are going through, i took 2 hpt’s and a blood test and both were negative and i have all the same symptoms, so if you figure out what was wrong can u post it and let me know, because me and my boyfriend are worried also.

hello. i’m 15 yrs old and i haven’t had my pd for over a month now. my boyfriend and i have been with eachother for a month now and we are both still virgins (and we made a promise to save ourselves until marriage). i’m really scared. can anyone help me please??

this is happening to me now too. i’m 3 days late–i’ve never had intercourse, but i have had outercourse. and the sperm got on my vagina, but not inside, so i am sooo worried. i just don’t know what to do.

all you girls should just go see a doctor. I really dont think this is to uncommon. It’s most likely nothing to worry about. Whatever it is you can handle whatever is put in front of you. Good luck!
well this is happening to me. i’ve done to HPT but bothe neg can’t pluck up courage to go to docs but will have to. think mine might be down to the fact i’ve joined a gym and go 3 times a week for 30mins intensive training my body not used to this much excercise so maybe its adjusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same thing happened to me ive been pregnant before and had one abortion, so i knw if i was pregnant it wouldove showed up, i have another appt this week but im afraid if this is happening to alot of women mayby its a conspiracy … alil freaky if you ask me im alil frigtened now and i never wanted to have my period more then i do right now.

The same thing is happening to me. Its the first time in my whole life I’ve missed my period. I’ve recently started Lexapro for anxiety, I’ve read that in rare occurances a missed period can happen. Too, I recently started a new BC Pill. Dr. said very common to miss periods in the first couple of months. I’ve taken 5 HPT but all are negative. Dr. said if I get overly concerned to come in for a Prego test. But after 5 HTP Im thinking there is some other connection. Any thoughts?
Nine times out of ten, if you have missed 2 periods you have a very high percentage that you are pregnant. You can not depend on HPT alone. There are many common symptoms during the first eight weeks that will happen. You can experience bloating, frequent headaches, nausea, tenderness in the breasts, darkening of the nipple, food cravings, drowsiness, and mood swings. Sometimes these symptoms occur because of stress, change in environment, getting of birth control, etc. The best advice I can give you is to wait until you have missed two periods then make a doctor’s appointment to see what’s going on with your body.
It’s happening to me too. Not sure what is wrong. Never felt like this before. Im worried . I go to the doc next week? My period has been one week late every month since Jan. Im in the same boat. I turn 30 the first of May and it was the first time I had ever missed a period! There was a lot of stress in my life leading up to it so I took a couple of HPT & finally started a week & 1/2 late. This month the same thing but no stress, I am a week & 1/2 late again this month. Im going to take another HPT when I wake up this afternoon (work midnites). Im going to make a appt with my doctor and see if they can tell me whats up & look into possibly getting my tubes tied. I dont like the idea of doing it but I dont want kids & neither does my husband. If anyone knows whats in the water to make us miss the periods please reply!!! Maybe its the heat!?

Same thing is happening to me, it is almost the end of the second month that I have not had my period. Ne and my Boyfriend have been using the pull-out method, but there is something called pre-ejaculation that I heard can get you prego! I have taken two EPTs and both negative! Hey Im 17 and have only had sex once recently and used a condom. Im pretty sure I cant be pregnate but my period has never been late before and its already three weeks late! I took a pregnacy test and it said negative…nothing else is wrong besides i have low pains/cramps. What is wrong with me? I havent had any weight gain or loss and I dont think I have had stress or anything.

same thing is happenign too me. I was due to come on the 15th of September, but nothing happened. I took several test and went to the dr’s office, but all came back negative. I feel as if I am. My pd is not usually this late. Am I taking the test too early, please explain when you should take the test.

Ok, for all you girls that are in your pre-teens, THIS IS NORMAL. When you first start your period, you may miss a few times. If you aren’t sexually active, I’m sure you have nothing to worry about.
I’m in the same boat as everyone else. I’ve been married for five months and this is the first time in my life I’ve missed a period. I was on birth control for the first month of marriage, but its made me so sick it wasn’t worth it. We both want kids, just the timing would be way off right now. I’ve taken 3 HPT’s and all were neg. I made a Dr. appointment because thats the best way to find out. I read somewhere that sometimes your body doesn’t even ovulate every month so there would be no reason to have a period if you didn’t ovulate right? I don’t know for sure, but I’m kinda relieved to see that I’m not the only one out there going through this.

I’m in the same boat. Never missed a period. (Was on BC) Went off Jan.1. Got my period on JAn.28 and now i am over 1 week late! 2 HPT Neg. Went for a blood test this moring and will hopefully get some answers. Does anyone else have any info??
Missed period does not mean pregnancy. It is also extremely common for women to miss a period when on, or have just gotten off birth control. Missing periods do not necessarily mean anything is wrong. The suggestion for the day is to see your doctor if other symptoms accompany the missed period and don’t worry too much about it. I think the majority of you are most likely experiencing irregular periods. I say this because most of your ages are young and you haven’t had your period long enough to become regular. If you think that it could be something “more”, then speak to your mother, guardian and go to the doctor.
So I also have these symptoms- missed perios, weight gain, period-like cramps, no pooping…. There are lots of people in common, but are they prego symptoms?
im going through the same thing im 15 and i have irregular periods anyway soemtimes they are brown all the way through for gods sake but anyway i go by 28days per cycle so i have some idea where abouts my period will be but this month its 4days late this is the 3rd day i dont no if i should be worrying or not or leave it for a week because i havnt put on any weight there had been a slight change in my appitite as in i have been eating more for a bout 3 months. but then again i just turned veggie so it might be adjusting im baffled and have no idea. my breasts are hard and sore to touch but i dont know if its growing pains because my breasts are not fully developed. i have done 2 home tests too they both came negative but im terrified of injections

so basically me and my boyfriend had sex, and he came inside of me. I am not on birth controll, but have a tendancie to skip a period here and there. this is almost the 7th week I haven’t had my period. is it possible that I might have an infection of some sort, it seems all the pregnancy tests I take come out negative. Same thing is happening to me. I guess it’s pretty common to miss a period once in a while but I’ve had mine for 20 years and the only time I’ve missed before was when I was pregnant.
This time I have an ovarian cyst that’s causing a delay in my cycle. Three HPT’s all negative and then an ultrasound showed an ovarian cyst which is throwing my hormones out of whack.
Well,I now realize that this is more common than i thought.Ok, I was suppose to get my period around the 5 is now the 19 makes me about 2 weeks late my boobs are sore , thats about it. Took like 5 hpt!! and all negative, went to local clinic and still negative, which made me feel alot better, I dont have any other unsusuall symptoms..It only worries me that i havent gotten my period yet,i’ve never missed one either, how normal is that..any thoughts??by the way i made another appt.lol to be really sure.

The same thing is happening to me. i took the morning after pill because the condom broke i had my period once after that then not for two months then again very light. i took a 2 pregnancy tests and they were both negative. what is up with that?
I know that it can be common for “women” to miss periods, by this I mean women who have had their periods for more than 5-10 years. I am 30 got my first period at about 12 and a half. I have 4 kids also had my tubes tied in May ‘00 for almost a year now my periods have been getting later and later now I am almost 3 months late and have NEVER been this late. I did some research and found that it is very common for women to have some sort of Pituitary malfunction and/or a pituitary tumor(benign). The pituitary gland is responsible for hormones, thyroid and sugar levels. I am going to the doctor tomorrow to have a few blood tests done. I know I am not PG as I have taken 3 HPT’s all were negative. I guess I can only hope that the problem is with my pituitary gland. I will update when I get results back……..Happy Easter gals!
My period is a week late and I am usually like clockwork. I’m not on the pill, but we do use condoms. I’ve had at least three normal periods, not anything light or spotty but completely normal, since we last had sex. I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. I am more stressed than normal, but I am still concerned. Wouldn’t I know if I was 12+ weeks pregnant though?

So all of us girls here are basically in the same boat. blah blah blah. Seriously, the smart thing to do is WAIT and NOT WORRY. Stress can post pone your periods even longer. And like mentioned above, irregular periods happen alot in young women. If you don’t have your period within 2 months, then i’d go buy a test. If anylonger, and tests still show negative, go to the doctor. It’s the best thing to do. Take Care!

Hi, i am going mthrough the same thing! I have missed two periods, i have done two HPT both have come back negative. I am awaiting the results of a blood test done at the doctors. When i was speaking to the nurse she said that it was maybe down to the fact that i was too thin. I am 5.6 and weigh just under 8 stone, i have always been this weight and have never missed my periods before. The nurse seemed to think there was nothing to worry about but to me its not natual to miss two periods. I am still getting the cramping as tho i am about to start. My periods are normally very light but never none exsitent. Please Help!
Im so confused. I am about 3 weeks late, and Ive never missed a period before. Ive twice had light bleeding thats lasts no more than two days. It starts of with a bit of spotting or brown staining then a light flow mostly when I urinated, then a bit of brown spotting again.

Im 40 so my HGC levels might be taken longer to rise and detect (I have also noticed my belly button has gotten smaller, wont stretch and has gone in. It wasnt like that a month ago!) I am 16 years old. I have a boyfriend. Me and him have been VERY sexually active for a while now. we both are obviously not ready for kids. We have only used a condom once and that was when we first started having sex. Last month I had a pregnancy scare. My period came almost 2 weeks late or more. But when I had it, It was very light which isnt normal. and it was about 3 days. but usually i have my perios for 7-9 days. I didnt think anything of it.. but this month I was supposed to have my period on the 18th. I’m late again. Almost a week. I still live with my dad.. so i dont know how to get to a doctor and have no money for a pregnancy test. I am also Vegetarian. I am first scared that if I end up being pregnant, that It will not go very well. Besides the fact that i didnt wanna think about kids for another 10 years.

So I have been off birth control for about a year now. Every month my period has come about 2 or 3 days earlier and I figured it was just my body adjusting back to normal. I knew eventually I would have my period twice in one month. Last month I started on the 1st and then the 27th. The previous month I started on the 4th. I figured it jumped 3 days and that was the one on the 1st and then for this month it jumped from the 1st to the 27th of last month. Now if this were true wouldn’t I have had it again around the 24-27th? I took a hpt and it was negative. But I’m super tired all the time and feel dizzy occassionally but it’s not long lasting or really bad (the dizziness). I also have weird discharge. It’s not like normal. There is a lot and it is pretty close to constant. It’s also a lot more dense. I feel bloated and hungry a lot. I also have a a slight head ache all the time. Not to bad just enough to notice. Weirdest part…I’m 21 and I like to go out with my friends on the weekends. I can’t drink anymore because it makes me tired and feel sick. I’m also a smoker and I can’t smoke anything but menthol (never used to smoke menthol) and all of a sudden I can’t stand potato’s! I used to LOVE potatos! It’s not the end of the month yet so maybe the test was early and it was a cheap 4 dollar one too. But is anyone else feeling like this? It’s stressing me out! Input please!

Hi girls. I just wanted to drop in a note. I found this site when I was researching reasons for abnormal pap smears and missed menstrual cycles. I am currently a student in med school, but I can’t give out medical advice as I am not licensed and it could be construed as malpractice. I am going to specialize in OB/GYN and I wanted to tell you girls that stress is one of the main reasons periods are late. Age is another common factor. There are a few medical causes like ovarian cysts, cervical cancer, and sometimes endometriosis. These things can cause some of the symptoms you have been experiencing but it does NOT mean that you have them. What you need to do is relax, take good care of your body, and have regular gynecological exams. If you have not sexual intercourse then its safe to say you are not pregnant.However, if you have had unprotected sex and you are not ready for a child, you need to consider alternate birth control methods. I, for one, hate the pill and never could take it on a regular schedule, but there are tons of options out there you can use to prevent pregnancy and still keep your partner happy.So if you are truly worried go to the doctor (gynecologist) and speak up. It’s your body! hope this has helped some of you girls and I wish the best of luck to you all.

Hello! I have been off birth control since March. I had been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for a while. I have had my period up until July. Now it’s toward the end of Aug and still nothing. I have mood swings, I eat alot, fatigue, and my nipples are sore. I have taken two tests and I even took them with my first urine of the day and they came out negative. I used to have a past of irregular cycles 6 years ago but it never went on two months straight. Does anyone knows what could be the problem?
OMG, this is exactly whats happening to me. I am kinda scared, i am on birth control so i’m not to particularly worried, my boyfriend is always asking me if i’ve started yet, so he is just as worried as i am.

WOW!! Ummm…I am on my period now but this is only my 3rd day & it is EXTREMELY lighter than what I am used to. I took 2 HPT’s and they were both neg. and my period was a little late too. But on my first day I had EXTREME cramping on my left side…But what does this mean EXTREMELY light period and EXTREME cramping? The only other time my period was late was when i was pregnant. Hi I resently got married in Aug 2008. I was under stress and started my period that’s when it’s likey to happen. For for months b4 my last one it was like a week late then i’d start then next month another week late so it seemed like i use to start at the end of the month and my last period was started on the 5th of August.. I haven’t had it since and it’s now December. So i’ve talked to my doc and the test have all said no. I was told by her “oh we can find anything out till you’re 6 months without a cycle” if there IS anything wrong with my body I’d like to know and by then it could be too late and whatever it is could be worse. I don’t know what to do and it’s freaking me out more i wait to find out. I just want to have an ultrasound done or something to look and see. I dunno! HELP!!

hi all. Umm. So Yeahh. Im 16. Me and my partner had sex christmas night. Twas lovely. Lol. Anyway. I was supposed to get my period boxing day. So, the day after we had sex. My doctors says I have PCOS so I had to take birth control pills.
I was taking them for 3-5 months but stopped because I couldn’t handle the side effects. Everyday was vomiting, headaches or diarrhea. I consulted my doctor and she said those are just symptoms it’ll go away.
For 3-5 months straight in a row!!!
So I stopped taking them on my own and switched to a better and reliable doctor.
She prescribed me Yaz and I dont feel a thing when I take it! =).
I had my period twice already =) and I’m trying to concieve.
I didn’t get my period for Feburary(usually ending of the month)

Also talk to your parents or doctor or anyone you trust and remeber that you CANNOT get pregnant without having sex. so dont worry about it if you are a virgin, there are a million reasons why you may miss your period.. good luck, and stay safe

i had the same thing as u girls are having rite now..a few days back i visited this website as i was so worried about me getting pregnant or not.me n my bf r sexually active but we’re not yet ready for a baby.i was supposed to get my period a week ago but i didnt.i was sort of freaking out n so stressed out.i did the home pregnancy test 4 times within 5days.the 1st one i took a day after my missed period.it all turned negative.but i thought i had some of the pregnancy symptoms like painful breast,often urination.so those results were not so convincing.me n my bf then decided to go for a blood test for more accurate result.fortunately,the test was negative.frankly speaking..it was a big relief to me n my bf.n just yesterday,i had my period which is 7 days after the day i was supposed to get.so the delay probably caused by the stress.
so my advice is..
repeat ur home pregnancy test or just visit a doctor for blood test(it detects the hormone rite after the fertilization-very accurate)
n try not to be so stressful..

I have about 31 day cycles my last period was on January 9, 2009. It is now March 30, 2009. It is quite possible that I am pregnant. My boobs aren’t abnormally sore, but they are swollen. I don’t have any morning sickness, but I feel nauseous if I don’t eat regularly. I have also gained abou 8 pounds since my last period. All of my hpt’s have been negative. I know that it is quite common for HPT’s to be negative until the 3rd month or so and some women never get a positivie hpt. I am waiting for my insurance to switch over in a few weeks before going to the dr, but what do you all think? Do you think I am pregnant based on my symptoms?

WOW..I’am not alone. Today I’am one week late. Me and my fiance use condoms because birth control makes me sick. We use one all the time. He told me not to worry that it’s stress and that I should relax. How can I..I just got engaged this month,I was excited and then we found out that he has to be deployed in a few months which made me very upset. Could that be it just stress and how do I relax…should I take a test anyway?????

I am 25, i am two weeks late. my cycle is usually 30 days, sometimes 29 or 31 but never pass 31. I am having soreness in my left breast, there is a little bit in my right but its not as noticeable. I am having a little cramping on my left side where i would normally get my menstrual cramps. Ive taken two pregnancy tests and both negative. I am not stressed, gaining/losing a lot of weight, or these other things that could be wrong. Im not worried if im prego, it wouldnt matter either way to me, i just do not like knowing if there is seriously something wrong with my body.
Hi i went through this 3yrs ago done test after test had blood tests and all negative then after 8 weeks of feeling like poo i went back to docs and demanded another blood test and i was in fact pregnant but due to a hormone imbalance i have it didnt show sooner, now im going through the same thing again, feel tired really nausious sore breasts no period an for me i know there is no pint in doing a test for a while so i will have wait and see.

I’me 21 and I’m usually a 25-28 day cycle but no later than 28. My last period was Mar. 22 and I havne’t had a period all April. This has never happened before. I took 3 preganancy tests. I also took a blood test and all came back negative. I’m 11 days past due for my cycle. I cramp alot but there’s no sign of my cycle coming at all. I broke my virginity on the 2nd of may, i had sex for the second time on the 16th of may. My last period was on the 17th of April, it is always pretty regular and so was due no later than the 17th of May. When we had sex on the 16th the condom burst, i still havent had my period. This is now the 23rd and i am sick with worry. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests, all have been negative. I went to the doctors and he took a urine sample, i havent got the results yet. But was it too early for the tests, could i still be pregnant?
Any advice is great, i am trying to concentrate on my examx but have been crying myself to sleep near enough every night.
If i am pregnant, i would want an abortion, i do not feel ready to be a mum. How long would i need to wait to get an abortion?

My periods has always been irregular but I never skipped a month. for the month of april my period came only for 3 days which is odd because i usually get it for 5. But two days before my period came i took a test which came back negative. Then for may i completely missed my period. I am 2 weeks late today, i took 3 hpt’s and all came out negative. i have been getting headaches and have been cramping like im goin to start but i havent started. my friend who has has a kid told me to push on my uterus and see if its hard of soft and mine is hard. me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex 4 times last month and he didnt pull out all 4 times. but i have a tipped uterus so im wondering if that could be a reason for me not starting and cramping alot? any advice will help.
my bf and i are having protected vaginal intercousre and it has been 3 monthes now since we started this. the first 2 months we have one slip off but i had my period 2 wks late in each month. (the slip off was in the second month and my fault for moving wrong ontop)

I get my period every other month, i’ve taken 2 hpt’s and i’ve got a blood test done and they all came out negative. First of all…ladies…PLEASE use protection. Dont use this “pull-out” method as your guy can have pre-cum, which can contain semen…and most definitely get you pregnant. If you dont have protection, or your guy doesnt want to use it, just dont have sex. You’re the one who will end up with the consequences.
Secondly, I’ve noticed that many of you had had sex for the first time and have a missed period. This is my current problem. =/ And although we were careful while using a condom as our preffered method…i’m afraid i might be pregnant.
As of today I an exactly a week late. Havent taken a test yet, but till be doing so tonight.
From research i’ve done….for some odd reason, when you have sex for the first time your period is delayed due to stress and hormonal changes that are happening due to the experience of first time sex.
It’s quite odd to me but I dont think it’s been scientifically proven or dismissed to it can be or cant be true.
Most people dont keep updating what happens which can be quite frustrating so I will keep posting as it might help some of you with any questions.

hello ladies, i commented back in june about my eriod being almost 3wks late. apparently, since i was stressed out so much that it was causing me to be late. after i calmed down by taking a hpt, i started my period a few days later! ladies you need to relax and let nature go its course, if the way you will calm down like me, by taking a hpt, do it! if its a negative, AWESOME! but, if your worst fears are true, i hope you know what needs to be done. And for that matter, handle it maturely. im not prego, and i get b.c. on the 18th of aug, i have not had vaginal intercourse for about a month, but am actively doing with out condom anal incourse (only 3 times, but still) and actively doing oral, both great alternatives. i know i should be using a condom with anal, but its in a steady i know him better than he knows himself relationships, and we learned the correct way to do anal. so there is no chance for dripage! my period is due in a week.
Oh and ladies it take 8-14 days for an egg to attach to your uterus. and you’ll have really light cramps and really light bright red blood spots on your “undies”. then 2 wks after that is when typically start have the sore breasts, and other prego signs. good luck and i hope none of you girls who dont want to be prego, are not, and those who want tobe are!
I stopped taking the pill 6 mths ago and I have been able to pinpoint my period to between 28 and 30 days since. Never later than 30 days. But then this month I felf really nausea for the week coming up to my due period and then my period was late and I was absolutely convinced that I was pregnant. Then on the day I bought a test my period came almost a week late. I was really upset but I still feel like I am pregnant. I have been feeling off form and almost vomitting sometimes. Is it possible I may still be pregnant? My husband had claumydia a few years back and I am convinced that this is where the problem is. The doctor told me we might have trouble conceiving because of this. I also read that an infection in the fallopian tube that is caused by claumydia can result in an ectopic pregnancy. Does anyone have any advise on this?
