Sudden Hair Loss and Loss Of Breast Size - Hormone Related?
Monday July 28, 2003
Women's Health Forum:
I am 36 and have noticed over the last 2-3 weeks a sudden and dramatic loss of hair. It's not in any specific place, just diffused over the whole scalp. When I brush or wash it, it's coming out in handfuls. I have made an appointment with my doctor but I need to know what tests to ask him to run.
I wonder if it's hormonal though? Over the last 2 years I've also lost 3 cup-sizes in my breasts (down to less than AA size now). I had hormone tests done 6 months ago and they came back normal and the loss of breast size was totally unexplained. Could this and the hair loss be related? What do you think?

I am having something along the lines happening to me. But I am a male, 44yrs old. I started a treatment due to low testosterone( first happened) I started on Sun. It wasn’t until Wed. morning that I noticed a lot of hair in my tub. This is very strange since I have a full head of hair and never see any hair in the tub. Thought nothing of it till Thur at work. I was running my fingers thru my hair. When it seems to rain- startled by what I saw. I pulled a little to see if it was just a fluke. It hasn’t stopped and it’s gotten worse. The pharmacist said it wasn’t related to the Testosterone Gel – Testim. But I only started taking the Gel on that Sunday ,, with hair loose that Tues/Wed?
Please let me know if this is truely related or what else could cause this?
What my idea of your situation is lack of protein. Hair is just dead protein, so without much it can become brittle and easily broken. The breast size reduction could be coming from the same thing. Protein helps hormones, hormones affect your breast size, so if you don’t have enough protein in your diet, you could lose breast size.
I found a resource for Breast Enhancement, I personally used this pills and found very fast and safe solution. http://www.ravissent.com
I recently found a great chemical free tea tree shampoo – which really helped me grow stronger hair –its from the Made from Earth product line called the Tea & Protein Herbal Shampoo….it actiallu has wheat proteins in it and that’s what makes my hair look so full after I use it.
The directions say for the shampoo to work – you have to leave in your hair for 2 – but I usually do it for about 5, since my hair used to be so thin. But 5 minutes really works for me cause I can see a major difference in how thick my hair is…
Even my husband comments on how my hair felt better – and he never notices anything! I recommend it for all healthy women out there who want better full hair.
