Okay. i feel ur pain. i am 14 and i turned it in febrary. i have had a couple things. But i am scared i waanna get it, i wanna be mature. i am grade 8 and my friend in grade 7 has it already:(. just let me grow up. yeha i DONT wanna get it like in class at highschool!!

I’m 14 yrs old and I haven’t had my period yet either. My mom said i’m just starting to get the signs. Even though I want it I try not to stress about it. When it happens, it’ll happen. But getting upset or crying over it isn’t going to make it come any faster.(I know this from experience)Nothing will. But lukily there are things you can do to support what your body is eventually going to do. Eat right> Don’t skip breakfast! Get 8-9 hours of sleep a night. Exersize regualry. And keep a journal. Yeah I know it sounds lame but Orginizing your thoughts will make you feel better.

ok girls…..if your only 12, 13, 14, 15….its possible to not have your period…the latest age i know about is 18 so you have nothing to worry about, you girls are still at a young age to get it…but if you havent had any signs og getting it or your 19 or 10 you should go see a docter…but you have nothing to worry about cause i didnt get mine untill i was 16 i was worried too but im not now you just have to be patient…thats all i have to say

if you dont eat rigt…. or get enough sleep…and your not in shape…you might not get it….i used to never eat right..so i started eating healthier…it turned out to be good for me so then when i was 16 i got it…this is me again the person that made alot of mistakes….i just had to add to what i said anyways…and i was really happy because i got 2 things out of it…my period…and i am really healthy now…i play alot of sports still(they are my life)…and i get enough sleep….and i havent felt better…and if you have your period and you play alot of sports like me…then you’ll have your period for like 3-5 days then you’ll have time off of your period longer than other people that have it…i just had to say that:)

ok girls totally frustrated… i am 16 in 2 months and still havent gotten my period!!!… feels like for ever..i have EVERY sign in the book and still waiting patiently.. even my 11 y/o sister seems to be maturing faster, her boobs are almost the same size as mine..ahh! If she gets her period before i do i’ll just die! I have done some research and found SOY products contain small amounts of natural estrogen hormones in them..estrogen is usually at an all time high in your body when your on your period so according to my research it MMAAYY! help speed up the process.. since recently i enjoy a few great glasses of chocolate soy milk every day! hi im 14 and going to be a freshman this year, and like all of ya’ll i do not have my period. i wear a 34 A bra and can fit into some 36A bra’s and i thought after 3-6 month after you get your real bra.. whitch was the beging of 8th gread you should get your period… well it’s been a whole school year and the beging of another and still no period. Trust me ladies… you must enjoy your lives without it! I didn’t get mine till I was almost 15…..and am happy for it! There are a lot of people that get it later than others….some get it as early as age nine. So no worries…unless you are hitting 16. Then I suggest you see your Gynocologist.

you know what enjoy it you’ll eventually get it, once you get you get big cramps and they hurt bad and you’ll be wishing you got it later. just because all of your friends got theres doesn’t mean you don’t fit in, they just devoloped earlier, im 13 i just got my period 3 months ago, everyone starts at a diffrent time, theres nothing you can do, if your over 16 go see a docter.

Before I read some of your comments I was scares as hell. Now that I see I am not the only one I’m not as scared. I am 13 and I have some bombs, they aint hug but I like them, I have had some signs of getting my period soon but I am not worrying to much anymore. In the last few months I have started getting little spots, not much, not often, and not regularly but its the first year so its normal. I have done lots of resarch on getting my period and everything you all are going through is completely normal. If you have bad concerns though and don’t wanna tellypur parents then to some research or ask other people like school nurse, guidance counciler, or even ask your doctor qt your next check up. Ima do that last 1 if I done realy start getting my period by then. I’m just gonna try not to worry cuz thinking about it scares me like I don’t wanna have to go to a gyn cuz I don’t feel comfortable with a stranger, or anyone, sticking there hands and stuff in me or all over me ugh so I’m praying I get my period this summer but even if I don’t I aint gonna think to much of it I’ll I’m 16.

Just hang in there and relize probably most girls have gone through this feeling, my best friend did but then she just started getting around x-mas and understands me and understands me so much… She just tur we 15 and was scare but got it

Hey! I just turned 12 have 34B back and stomach pain and get realy dizzy. I really really want my period!(by the way,4 all yall that want big boobs, drink a glass of milk with every meal since boobs r milk ducts!) seriosly it realy works! I read somewhere that exersizing and eaton junk delays ur period. Sleeping and baths with lavender relaxes ur muscles and slows ur period to come faster. Also DONT overdue the exersize because that causes ur period to delay. Last don’t stress or else that’ll slow down the prosses! Good luck!:)

Omg You guys are sooo not alone im 13 going on 1 but i am so unhappy the other day 5 of my flat chested friends told me that they had started their period and now i no im not the only one but we have all got to you know be patient blah blah blah but i dont want to be patient and i wish for it to come all the time like my friend she is in year 7 and she has it all ready and she lives downstairs from me and now that really upsets me we are even the same breast size…….i will start catching up on sleep and eating healthily.

i’m 17, i had sex when i was 13. yes, i was late just like all my friends. it’s just how your genes are. i didnt start mine till i was 14 and all of my friends started when they were 12 and 13. it just goes by the women in your family. believe me, be happy you havent started. because periods can ruin a lot of things. haha. all girls are different. look around. some girls your age have boobs, others dont. there’s a girl who goes to college with me, and she JUST started hers. she’s 18. it just goes by the genes, stress, and if you have any kind of illness. example: hypothyroidism, diabetes, etc.

also to the girl who has “big boobs”, milk doesnt do anything to your boobs. im lactose intolerant and have had big boobs since 5th grade. you also get it from women in your family. but the only way you can get “big boobs” is by exercising your arms. believe me. my friend went from a B to a C in 3 months from doing arm workouts. it builds the muscles under your breast tissue. i model now and i have 40 D. which boobs suck because they give you back pains and no guys ever pay attention to your face when your talking to them.

I know it sounds nasty and i’m not talking about anything “all up in there”, just rub your clitoris. And you’ll ejaculate making more blood come out. But make sure you are wearing a tampon or pad because it’s not the most beautiful looking thing in the world when you do it. I’ve had the problem all the time. When I would have a photo shoot in a couple days time and i started my period a couple days before, I would be soooo mad. Because i do swim wear and working on Playboy. And no one wants to see your tampon string or pad all in there. So I asked my good friend if she knew anything, and she said “masterbation”. I thought she was psychotic. But I tried it, giving her the benefit of the doubt. And it actually worked! I went from a 5 day normal period to 2 and a half. It was wonderful!!!

HEY girls. I literally read every single comment….that took a while.But seriously, those of you between the ages of 11 and 14 should not be worrying at all! And for those of you slightly a few years older have nothing to worry about also. No one, not even GOd can help you get your period. It is you and you only. The way you treat your body and what came with your genes is all that matters. I’m 16 in a month. I think I had my 1st period, but it hasnt been followed by any others. I do wonder and wish, but I’m almost 16! If I’m 17 and it still hasn’t come that is when i will worry my butt off (and go to the doctors)…but did u notice how many girls on this site actually don’t have their periods, but say that they feel left out? How can you be left out if there seem to be so many others just like you!

All I can say is to be patient…talk to your mom or any other female adult…do some more research about the topic online (but don’t believe EVERYTHING you read)…and stay positive. Not having your period isnt really horrible. Having a tumor located in your brain, to me, is really horrible. That is lifethreatning….not a missing period.

Hii i started my periods when i was about 12/13 im now 16 and i hate having my period. its nothing but a stress constantly worrying if you have leaked and you feel uncomftable most of the time. and talk about belly pains ouch ! dont worry if you havent got you periods right now they will come when your body is ready and believe me as soon as they do you will be wishing for them to go away im sure.

Girl, it’s okay. Everybody get’s there period at different times. My mother got her’s in the middle of high school. I just got mine a couple weeks ago. Trust me, you don’t want it. I bought 32 pads and used them in 4 days. Not good. You become a very miserable person in life. You see soo much blood, so many cramps, and spend lots of money on pads and tmapons. Hi. I don’t have my period either. I am almost twelve and I’ve been having that discharge thing for 3 months. It comes, like, every day. I am so mad. I understand how you feel, but there is no need to worry at all! Don’t worry about if you are gonna get it at school, you could get it ANYWHERE ANYTIME! All you have to do to prevent that from happening at school,
is to wear a PAD (not a tampon) just incase!
It’s really not the end of the world. =D
So when you actually get it, nothing shows through your clothes!
ABOUT WHEN YOUR GOING TO GET IT:
Don’t think about it, when your time is right, you’ll know it. WE ALL ARE DIFFERENT, and we will get it at different times!

Number one reason why girls don’t get their period is because they do not have a normal enough BMI (if they’re anorexic) or if their BMI is too high they might have irregularities. If you eat right you should get it soon, but most girls usually get at around the same time their mom got it, so if your mom got it when she was 16 then don’t expect to get it when you’re 9. Another reason could be that you have PCOS, so you don’t get periods at all, or once you have started getting them you don’t get them every month (more like every few months). But I assure you. You’ll get it. Have patients and enjoy the time that you don’t have it. But when it does come? Start out with Playtex Gentle Glide Slender, or Tampax Pearl Lite. EASY insertion and it makes you feel even more comfortable with your period every month it comes! Especially for beginners. But be careful!! Wear a liner along with them, because they don’t absorb much!

You are damn lucky not to have had your period yet. Periods can come as late as 17, it is perfectly normal you haven’t got your period yet. I got mine at 9 years old and it was awful. I was very poorly with my periods, being sick and fainting, getting migraine. I nearly went to hospital once. So be pleased that you are a late bloomer!

There is no such things as an age that your period is supposed to come. You can get it as early as 7-8 or up to 18-20. It depends on genes, if you exercise a lot it will make it come later, stress, the more you stress the later it comes, and your diet. I don’t mean anorexic diets or anything. I mean, if you don’t eat enough, your body can’t concentrate on developing thus making it come late.

Whoa! Chill out everybody! I am 13 and I just got it this past December, and you know what? I hate it!! I know it feels like you really want to fit in right now, but after you get your first one you will want to hit yourself for ever thinking that this was going to be “fun” or whatever is going through your heads.

I will admit, that if you are older than 15 this is definetly something to start worrying about. When I was 12, I asked my doctor about it, and she said if I didn’t get it by the time I was 14 she was going to give me a shot, to jump start it. If you are really worried I would ask your doctor about it.

A few ways to know its coming is that you will start having really severe cramps about a month before you get it, and probably some spotting. When you actually get it you will be very emotional and freaked out. I started screaming in the bathroom!

I’ve read most of the comments, almost all of them. I really don’t think most of you understand what you’re wishing for. When you get your period you get cramps, you won’t fit into a majority of your clothing, & you spend tons of money on pads, tampons, etc. And to be honest it’s embarrassing when your walking in the store with tampons & you see a group of guys from one of your classes or better yet your boyfriends best friend. Yeah, i’ve had it happen. That’s not something to be excited about.

Quick note for all: You are not physically or emotionally prepared to have a child. Mostly because your still a child. And if you do get pregnant there is a chance that the boy you’re having sex with will leave you. You may want a baby but he definitely will not.

Girls, listen..I am 23 years old and a mother. I was just like you when I was your age, it is perfectly normal to want to fit in and want your period when you want it. But, that just can’t happen. You will get your period when your body is ready. The normal age to get your period is from age 9 to age 15. And it is also normal once you get your period, to not get it very often. Try not to be in such a hurry to grow up, you have plenty of time!! Enjoy being kids! Also, there is nothing you can do to make your period come, when it is ready it will come. Until then, be patient and enjoy being kids. Don’t feel left out, there’s nothing wrong with you. I Promise.

Girlies, do you really know what your period is like? It’s annoying. So ya, I REALLY wanted mine. First you really need to relax. It wont come while your stressing over it. Mine was a surprise. The signs, for those of you who can to know are; vajj discharge, pub hair, armpit hair, a growth spurt. You sometimes grow up to 2 inches in the 1 1/2 month before your period. Oh and I think your boobs need to be biggish. Like a 34B or something. Dont be shy to ask your doctor. I know how bad you want it. Trust me. I know. It WILL come. Nothing speeds it up. I feel your guys’ pain. I really want my period, because I’m the oldest, flattest, and most period-desperate girl in my class. Everyone else has it, except for two other girls, and they’re all a lot less flat than me. & for all of you 10 & 11 year olds, why would you want it right now? hey girls, i am 13 and i got my period when i was 8. mum said i only got it that early because every time i went to the toilet i wiped from my fanny to my ass instead of the other way around. i really did hate heving it and when you ARE THAT YOUNG IT HURTS MORE THAN USUALL. i am the only one in my class that got it that early and most people still dont have it so dont be worried. i know people in grade 9-10 that still dnt have theirs. my aunty never got hers till she was like 17. i personally dont think u have any thing to worry about. when you do get your period make sure you tell someone that is realted to you so they can buy you all the accessories you need. i would reccomend pads not tampons. my teachers didnt beleive me that i got mine at such a young age and neither did ANY of my friends. make sure you always have accessories on your back pack or purse just in case gotta go now bye have fun!!!.

I was once like you guys when I was between the ages of 10 and 12. I am now 24 and I’ve had my period for 12 years. It isn’t the greatest feeling but that’s life. Everybody is different. Like some people are late bloomers…some people are early bloomers. I know 7 year olds who gotten their periods. Just don’t stress about it. And if you are under 12, really don’t stress about it. Taking part in sports can make you more of a late bloomer. Also your mother’s age usually corresponds with the age that you will get it.

Ok girls. It is really stupid to want a baby at most of your guys ages, wtf are you supposed to do with it? If you are 20 and have never had your period, you are experiencing primary amenorrhea. You definitely need to see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

I turned 15 about 3 months ago at the end of August, and I still don’t have my period yet. I have small boobs 34A (which I could really care less how big they are ahah) and I experience discharge and the whole shabamm. But my mom got it when she was almost 16 so I’m not too worried about it. Although, I would like it to start. Feel more mature. Hey lauren. Yes, it’s perfectly normal for girls to get irregular periods, especially at first. A lot of girls have irregular periods for several years before they get a regular cycle. It can even seem regular and then go back to being weird again. No need to worry since your body is still developing into your early 20’s.

To all of you other girls, same goes for you. It’s perfectly normal to get you period at 15 or even 16. I guess youre probably mostly worried because you feel embarrassed. Hows this for embarrassing: you go to the store to buy tampons and your crush sees you, you couldnt sit in class one day because the cramps hurt so bad (everyone knew why you were standing), your period was so heavy it leaked right through your tampon and underwear and a red circle appears on the butt of your pants!!!….ALL of those things have happened to me when i was in high school along with the fact that i didnt get it until i was almost 15.

I have kind of normal boobs for my age (30B) and I have underarm and pubic hair, and have had discharge since I was 9. I now need my period to complete it! All my friends have had it except for one – so it’s not just a matter of poor little me, everyone has it except for me. It’s actually true! My friend was only a 30AA when she got hers. And by the way soymilk has absolutely nothing to do with getting your period. Your period will come when the time is right for YOU. And also, someone said in this thread that your boobs have to be 34B to get your period. That is not true. Like I said, my friend with 30AA boobs has got hers. And plus, what about women that are only A’s or B’s when they are adults? Are you saying they never had their periods? No! They are myths. Your period will come eventually (except I want mine now, obviously!)

So let mother nature do her job and remember you have your whole life to deal with PMS. I know how badly you want your periods (and breasts) to come. I was the last out of my friends to get both, and I was 13 when I got my period. I wanted to fit in with them talking about having to buy pads and tampons and all that other stuff. I remember I got it in class in 7th grade and I was so embarrassed I had to go to the office to ask for a pad and then go home and ask my mom to buy my pads. Looking back though, it wasn’t as scary as I made it out to be and I wish that it would’ve waited longer to come. Cramps hurt, but nothing a little Midol can’t help. It was embarrassing to buy pads at first, so I had my mom buy mine until I turned 16, then I decided that I wanted to buy my own, especially because I liked a certain brand and my mom changed it every time. I’m 21 now and it’s just one of those things when you wish you could go back in time and not get one until you get married. lol. My advice is to keep a pad in your locker or purse and possibly a pair of running shorts or wind pants in case it leaks the first time(usually they hand out samples or samples come in the mail when you go to kotex.com or always.com or if your mom has pads just grab one of hers from the cabinet). Anyway, I know it’s a scary time, but enjoy having fun with your friends and they’re not worried about whether you have your period or not, they’re actually probably jealous of you because they wish they hadn’t started.

I am 29 now and I first started when I was in 8th grade, I was the last one out of all my friends to start…my first period lasted 18 days straight….it was horrible!! I thought it would never stop! Hey im 13 almost 14 like most of you and i HAVE gotten my period and trust me you will hate it with a passion. But anyways I was just like all of you, i wanted it so bad i practically cries every night for it, but trust me after i got it I wanted to take back my wish. I absolutely hate it. There is nothing at all fun about it. You either have to put some thing in your underwear or stick something up yourself and its no fun. Plus half the time if you have cramps it makes you in a bad mood and all you want to do is stay at home and sleep all day.

Don’t worry about getting it any time soon, just enjoy yourself while you can without it cause trust us when we say this, having a period is not fun at all so be glad you don’t have to feel the pain yet and I’m sure you’ll soon find out what it’s like!

Also there is no point in lying to your friends about it, if they ever find out you’ve been lying they may not be pleased although if you’re lucky they may forgive you for wanting to fit in excuse but if they are good friends then I think you’ll find they won’t mind at all but if they break up with you over it then you know now what kind of friends they are and you’re better off without them.

Also having periods has never made me feel like a woman really, if anything it’s made me even more annoyed than I was about it all and I wish I never got them, I don’t remember wishing to have them in the first place though!

Oh yea and don’t worry about when you’ll get it, at least it’ll be fine when they come and your at school wearing school trousers because they’re black and not see through! (Eek for those getting them on non-uniform days though!) I got mine at home when I get to the loo so yea, just because you start school it doesn’t mean they’ll come then but it’s best to be prepared if need be and not worry about it.

I used to be soo anxious cause i had discharge for three whole years and no period my discharge started in year 5 and i was in year 8, i had already turned 14 on november last year. everyone had them but i didn’t i felt very left out and found that i had to lie about having mine but it was not until march this year i got them , it was very unexpected but at the same time i was relieved i started to begin to think there was something wrong with me. Relax. It’s okay to be in 8th grade and not have your period yet. I’m 13, soon to be 14, and I just got it two days okay. Everyone matures differently, and that’s okay. My friend’s little sister is 11 and got it when she was 10. It was pretty weird have someone 3 years younger than you beat you to it, but hey, everyone matures differently. When you have to really start worrying is when you’re 16 or 17 and haven’t gotten it yet.

Girls, Girls, Girls, I am 23 years old, and have had my period for a long time now, and I am telling you dont be in a rush to get it, I hope every month it would only stick around 5 minutes tops, or just never come again, its the worst week of the month, there are other ways you can feel mature than getting your period. Take on more responsiblity at home, volunteer, anything… it will give you alot more satisfaction than cramps, throwing away money every month, some times breaking out, being uncomfortable, always checking the seat of your pants and your sheets when you wake up, being really gumpy and miserable, my husband dreads it too becasue its just not a happy time for anyone then lol. It is one week a month I would like to skip all together, when I was pregnant with my daughter not having a period for 9 months was a blessing! Please dont be in such a rush to get it, you honestly are not missing anything, but the headache of having a period!

To the last girl who was wondering about birth control, it is great stuff, makes your periods shorter and lighter, some help with keeping your skin clear, the pill patch needle, iud, any of that stuff is all 99.9999% effective against pregnancy, and you dont get a period when you are pregnant so nothing happens to the baby, nothing to wrry about there, when you’re pregnant your egg is fertilized and you start the process of gorwing a beautiful child, you dont ovulate when youre pregnant, no periods, its a really nice break to not have to buy pads and tampons for a year!

Anyway I got my period in grade 5, I was young and hated it since the time I got it, boobs really arent that big of a deal either, the bigger they are the more they hurt (and your back too) or get in the way of so many other things, enjoy not having any of the problems while you can because once you get it you’ll look back on when you wrote all these things and wish you werent in such a rush

Hey guys I am 13 and i dont have it. All my friends tell me how horrible it is and how i am sooo lucky and we ARE! All of our bodies work differently and we will get them soon! We should be soaking up the time we have left that we dont have to worry about pads or tampons. Its always good to be prepared though and have a supply kit in you locker or something. Remember though its not really a sign of maturity getting you period its actually just your body. You can be mature and not have your period, trust me a lot of the 7th graders at my school have gotten them and are NOOOO WHERE NEAR MATURE!

Yeah, I am almost 17 and never had my period. I have polysistic ovaries. I’ve never really cared if I got my period or not. I started taking pills when I was 15 but they didn’t work, I found out that if I lose a little more weight that it might come. But my mom had the same problem. She got her period at 16 and then it stopped. But then in her late 20’s she got prego with me!

okay, listen here girls. im 16 and a sophomore in high school. youll get your period soon enough. i never even got mine til i was 15 so you should calm down. i know everyone says you dont want it, but you get kinda nervous thinkin something is wrong with you. well my mom never got it til she was seventeen. and her and i are both perfectly normal. now im not tellin you to go off and do this or anything, but i promise you sex will speed up the process if you really want it that bad. but just know that if i could have one wish, it would be that i never had a period. IT SUCKS. you either have to shove a tube of cardboard up your vag for a week or feel like your wearing a diaper. you get really mean to your friends and family. you dont feel comfortable in dresses or skirts. you constantly feel like your about to throw up or like someone is literally sticking a knife through your stomache. and when you get to be my age, you cant do anything with guys, while your on it either. NOTHING good comes from having your period, unless your possibly pregnant and than you get glad when you get your period and find out your not. trust me, if anything you should be hoping it shows up as late as it possibly can, rather than wishing you had it to fit in. OH && also, stress can prolong it from coming, so stressin over when your getting it will only make it a longer time til you get it.

Dont worry, people start at different times. It doesnt mean anything. Everyone at school, in my class had started their periods early. And i was pretty much the only one tht hadnt started it yet. Dont get too worried about fitting in. Being on ur period isnt exciting after all. It gets pretty annoying. I started mine last month on January the 6th. And im only 12. (13 in MAY). I havent been on my period since the 1st time i got it. Im geting kind of worried. But im sure ill be ok lol. I chatted with my mom and she told me everything about periods and she was really supportive. She said that because its my first time. I might even get some missed periods because its not steady yet. girls, trust me your perid isn’t exciting and evryone is different. i was the only persn out of all my friends (about 20 girls) not to have their period and i was more developped then some of them i felt like i was youger then them and less experienced so i no how you all feel. but i got it at the beginning of this year, bit of a suprise and nothing exciting. i had it for 8days, and haven’t had it since so i’v skipped a month and am still nervous to get it at school. i had no signs either. just woke up with a suprise, and got some cramps but dome tablets gt rid of that and then it was just annoying me.
don’t be worried about leaking at school. you will get a light brown discharge that will kinda stain your undewear so you’ll notice that and that wil tell you its coming, so then just wear a pad or liner.
don’t stress, some people get tere periods between 8 and 16 so theres a lot of time.
enjoy having no worries and being carefree and youngg! you’ll get it one day and then think you were stupid for wanting it coz i no i did.

I fell like I have been reading my life story. I am 1 month away from turning 15 and I finally got my period. It was totally different then I had expected and it didn’t make me feel “like a woman” or mature like my friends. I missed it the next month and I had to deal with that. But in the end, you have to live with not having it and having to wait. There is nothing you can do. Mine was really late too and my boobs are wayyy bigger than any of my friend’s boobs, so I understand why some of you are confused. It could be that your underweight or don’t have a lot of fat on you, because fat is what carries the hormones…do the math.

Hello! What the heck are you guys worried about. Feel you’re missing out? Missing out on cramps, bloating, stained underwear, embarassing accidents (everyone has at least one). Enjoy the days you have, to not have to worry about having tampons on hand, or worry about wearing cute white jeans. And by the way size has nothing to do with it unless you are anorexic, as that can cause problems. However if you want to start, just quit thinking about it and it will come when you least expect it. Ok so i just got my period yesterday and im 14 and the majority of my friends have had it since last year even my friend who weighs about 95 pounds but dont rush it its not all its cracked up to be although i must say i am pretty happy to finally have it. well it will come and i know even when people say you dont want it it doesnt help but hang in there it will come and its not like any of your friends care just lie and say you have and carry around a pad or tampon (which you should probably have anyway just in case)

I know exactly how you feel. I’m 15 and a softmore. I didn’t get mine till the spring of freshman year when I was 14. I wanted it soooo bad. All of my friends would always share funny stories about their’s. And when they were in the bathroom they would say “hey does anyone have a tampon” or “can I borrow a pad”. I wanted to be able to say that sooo bad. And I would lie and say that I had already got it and make up stories. The first time I got it I was so excited. I finally felt grown up and like a normal teenage girl. And when it ended a week later I was really sad. But now it’s just annoying. All of your underwear gets ruined. It’s really gross, and it even smells! My boyfriend gets mad cause I never want to hang out cause I’m moody and bloated lol! And I recently got it at school and didn’t have any stuff. alot of ppl saw. I had to hide in the bathroom and my mom had to get off of work and come get me. It was humiliating! But if you aren’t at school and you have it it isn’t so bad. Except for the cramps and aches. Enjoy being a kid. LISTEN….your period will soon come and please listen to me when I say this,do not rush things,i am 16 and I have my period and it takes the fun out of everything you do.you cant get up fast or you will bleed you cannot wear light colored pants or you will show if you bleed through and it is soooooooo agrivating when you excersise beacuse you bleed every time you do. but if you want your period to come faster there is no way you can rush it,but trust me you dont want it here.also you cant swim!so please live your life and you can expect your period when you start to have lower back pain,your breast will fill tender,you will be VERY emotional and MEAN you will fill like you have to use the bathroom every 30 minutes and you will have lower near your overys will start to cramp.and for a little tip take pads with you to school so that you wont have to worry if you do start at school.and wear pantie linersa every day to school it dont matter if your young still wear them especially if you start to fill those semptoms.and when you do start at school call your parents and tell them to come pick you up……..good luck girls and please dont rush things guys!

I got my period on the school bus on the way to school with white pants on. It was horrible. But I survived and after about a week, no one remembered…now its a story I look back on and laugh at. So dont worry about getting at school, or even if the cutest guy in the world witnesses your ass with a big red blot on it. Yes it SUCKS….but he will forget and you and your friends will laugh about it.

Remember, you have youth on your side- which means the rest of the world is ENVIOUS of you. You have so much to look forward to- dont worry over your period. Once you get it, it will run your life one week out of the month, dont let it run your life now.

I hate getting changed infront if people, even my own mother!! and I can;t wear certain clothes that I really ant to wear due to it. It sucks ass!! The closest I have got to anythign liekt hat, is under arm hair. The problem? Its only one unerarm, and only two hairs!! Does anyone know why??

I’m 13 and I started my period like 2days ago and I hate it, I don’t feel comfortable around people right now, and its embarrising at school when you have to change your pads. I hate having my period I was kuje you guys and really wanted it. but its not all its cracked up to be. Oh yea and you can’t wear funky pants because the crotch bit is to small to support a pad. I’m quite flat still like a 30AA tiny! and I got my period just wait please! it sucks! here I am worride about getting blood on the sheets. PERIODS STINK BIG TIME!

Hey I’m ten years old and I started my period nine days after my tenth b-day I had the worst cramps ever and I started at school you don’t even notice it and some people know the day before that there going to start there’s I wore black leggings and trust me you won’t want it because in summer when you want to go swimming you can’t and if you have brothers don’t say I have to change my pad or something even if they do know it’s still wrong because my cousin does that and it grosses me out it’s so sick sometimes after my period I think like I fell like throwing up like periods are sick.

But you skinny girls don’t start stuffing your selves with food! Please! It will just make it worse! Anyway… I’m like the oldest one in all of my friends. And of coarse just like you guys i’m like the only one without my period. I don’t feel comfortable telling my friends that I don’t have it. I used to but then both of my best friends got theirs at like the same time and are always talking about it. I wear a bra size 34 A. So that’s pretty normal compared to my friends. And i’ve started getting the white or clear discharge stuff. For girls who haven’t started it’s just like clear liquid or like glue. I already have hair under my arms and pubic hair so I think i’m pretty normal in the puberty process other than my period. I know all my friends and Mom say that I shouldn’t want my period because you get cramps and stuff but I still want it!!!!!!!! I don’t know why I just want to fit in and I know once I get it I will have like so much stress of my shoulders.

Anyway, for you girls out there like me, I know it’s hard but please dont’t be stressed. I try really hard not to but I just really want it! Well just know that plenty of girls like me feel the exact same way. There are soooo many people there for you.

1) drinking milk does not make your boobs bigger they wont fill your boobs with milk as they only produce thier own milk when u become pregnant.

2) you and your mum wont get your period at the same age my mum had it at 11.

3) your friends could be lying to “fit in”

4) make sure any sex you have is with a condom dont belive all the boys saying the cant wear onr because its too tight and it looses sensation you can get many different types that will fit all and not loose sensation.

5) if your worried about starting your period at school take some tampons/pads and an extra pair of underwear,leave them in your locker in a bag if possible.

6) thoses of you who have recently got thier period if you get bad tummy pains then a hot water bottle will work wounders so will chocolate as it realeases endorphins which is a happy hormone.

7) for those of you who havnt got your period yet,just think of the ugly duckling story where a pool little ducking was laughed at for being ugly but later on he want a duck he was actualy a beautiful swan. so dont worry girls your period will come one day.

Hey!Me again. I don’t really think there are any tricks to make your period come faster. I’m 13 and still don’t have it. And i’m not sure but I don’t think it matters when your mom got it either. My mm had hers in the summer when she was 12 and here I am a 13 year old and periodless. And to answer the girl Francee’s (364) problem, I have the same issue! I still kinda have boob development and there big enough but not that big.When I wear my Bra, they look like a normal 13 year old size and that’s what my friends think I am. But when I take off my bra there pretty small. So if you don’t want them to know, keep your bra on the longest you can. Maybe when your friends are asleep take off your bra under the covers. or something. You never really have to show them. And for the periodless thing, it’s no big deal!!! They will NEVER find out cuz you only get it a week in the entire month so they’ll think you got it last week or something. My friends all have there periods and I have never told them I don’t have it. But I didn’t lie either. I just say that I don’t feel comfortable talking about stuff like that and they totally understand.

Look girls, getting your period may mean you’re physically a woman, but it doesn’t mean you’re grown up and mature yet.
Believe me, I’m 18 and I’ve realised this doesn’t happen until at least your early 20’s. Getting your period doesn’t change anything else about you other than the fact that every month (or few months in my case) you need to take special precautions to make sure you don’t get your sheets and panties dirty.

Enjoy not having it while you can- it’s messy, it feels nasty and to some it hurts, makes them sick and/ or really irritable.

I wish I could go back to not having it but I can’t…
(And just between you and me, it always seems to come at the worst of times… I’m staying at my BF’s house this weekend, and I’m hoping to GOD that it’s over with by then… But it probably won’t be.)

First : Im 15 and 1/2 and i didnt get my period yet, but ive had signs its been almost a year.
Second, consider yourself lucky, its pretti nasty according to my friends and family, ++ you get all moody and stuff.

Third, if you get it at school, the first time, it wont be a load, so it wont get threw your pants that easily unless your wearing a skirt or something.

Fourth. LOLLL, you can be mature without having your period. Alot of ppl tell me im way to mature, and half thos ppl are girls that had there period when they were like 9.

Oh yea, some girls get it earlier cuz of there hormones. It depends what u eat. I heard that these days there are too many conservative* products in what we eat, so it effects our body and could either make our period late or early.

So yall should seriously chiill. youll get it, then youll regret it

So, I would just like to put some of you at ease. Firstly, it is perfectly normal for a 13 year old to not have her first period yet. Chill out, it will come. Ladies, having your period is just a natural part of maturation and it happens when your body can handle the change. Honestly, if your friends are not letting you “fit in” because you don’t have your period, get some new friends. When did bleeding from the vagina become the “in thing” anyways? Also, if you guys are scared about starting in class or some other awkward place, you should know that your first period will likely be extremely light and brown in color. So, wear a liner if it really worries you, but honestly it will be no more heavy than the discharge you are experiencing now. After your system “cleans out the pipes” they will become heavier. No worries

Why the heck hasn;t it come? I feel so young, and it’s soo embarassing! I’m in year 9 but in top set science so we’ve started going onto year 10 biology. Well im a 11 and i have injections to slow down my periods because like mine were about to start i didnt want them yet so i got these injections but one of my freinds whos 14 had a 7mm neddle stuck up her bum to make hers start.

I got my period when I was in the 5th grade, and I was the first one from all of my friends. I was so embarrassed and I didn’t want my friends to know that I had it. I wish I would have never gotten it. Girls, it really sucks, not only the pain, but you get moody and bloated, body aches like lower back pain and your boobs get sore. Trust me, just wait. Don’t hope for it to come sooner. And for those of you that want your period to have babies.. uhh.. don’t even think about it. the only thing worse than having cramps from period pain, is child birth, waking up early morning to feed your child, and changing diapers, and not getting to hang out with your friends, party, or do whatever you want. Girls I’m 33 years old. I had gotten my period at 10 years old. I’m sure all of you that want your period are thinking you wish that was you but I’ll tell you when the excitement wears off you will be hoping that you wont’ get your period the next month because of how much pain it is. Some girls that get it doesn’t mean they are mature yet it just means there body is changing. Trust me I was not mature at all at 10 yrs. old. Not only that if you get your period too young you could end up having fertilty problems because your body is more APT to problems later on. Not that it happens all the time. It is a wonderful thing to start your period with all of your friends but remember God knows the perfect time for your period to come. I pray that God gives you all patience and peace during this emotional time. Trust me I’ve been there. I left a couple of comments on here around october or november last year, well since then loads of things have happened! I got my periods in december 2008 only a little but then i got scared because it didnt come back for four months but in april it came back!! it was SOOOO heavy and lasted for 3 days but i finally felt like a woman it was really good! i can talk about it with my friends now its great, also i got really big boobs from it– 32C! and i grew alot and i got much curvier, YAYYY!! the only downside is that it does hurt alot, thats why i dont reccomend you guys who are lyk 10 asking for it, czz you get such bad stomach cramps i was lyk crying on the floor of stomach cramps, but its so rewarding when it happens!! but its not always like that cozz i’m on my periods right now, its heavy but it doesnt hurt but i did have a bit of chest pain xxxx Hope you guys have good luck with yours xx

hey guys, after being worried for so long, i suddenly got my period today. I was really not expecting it! Yesterday walking home from school, i suddenly felt pain and discomfort, but no period. This morning, i went to the loo at about 10:30, then went out. The next time i went to the loo, was about 6:30pm. My dad and sister were in the car as we were about to go out, but me and my mum were still in the house. I was about to go to the toilet but as i pulled my knickers down, they were completely covered in blood and dark brown stuff. I was so shocked i didnt end up going to the toilet! It didnt hurt one little bit. I changed into clean underwear and my mum gave me a pad, then we went out. We were out for 2 hours and when we got back, i had more, but not as much as earlier. I thought i would feel really happy cause ive wanted it so much for so long, but im just in shock really. All you girls who do not yet have it, dont worry, but make sure you are prepared! You could see it from the outside of my underwear, so im very thankful it didnt leak through my trousers! Make sure you have a pad with you, and maybe some spare underwear. I hope my experience helps you, and remember, I’m 15 and a quarter, so if you’re 13 and dont have it yet, dont worry. xx

Honey be glad you don’t be proud yes it will say your growing up but that’s not the only thing you need to grow up and besides it is a major pain, stomach cramps, feeling bloated, headaches, all of that every month and also the moodswings. girls be happy you dont have it and live your life up while you dont your day will come when it’s ready but for now just go out and have fun.

im 12 1/2 going on to 13 and i still havent gotten my period. i really want to get it. i have really small boobs and i have hair in some places but i still havent gottn my period. i feel pains around my chest in stomach but nothing happens. in bras im a 32a. its not big on me but they look big with a shirt on because they are padded. i have a 13 year old friend and she has these boobs that are so huge they look like she had gotten fake boobs. i really want my period to come because i want to be a mature teenager and i want to fit in. how can i make my period come soon because i really cant wait till it comes. its going to be a really painful/happy day for me i think..

hey i am 13 and short periodless and it is no fun! when we go to resturants they hand me a kiddy menu it makes me so mad i mean i am 13!!!! so i were pads and a cuppy bra that i just about fit in to and it is so anyoing cuse every one els is getting there’s and i’m not but i pretend i have and i go over the top i take a red pen colar it on a pad put it on my undies and when i and at my friend’s house i role it up and leavit a little open so it looks real and then i say i have cramps and i keep tampons in my bag so if someone goes through it it looks real and i ask my friends if they have tampons and say i forgot one then i undo it and through out the other stuff and put the actual tampon in a wad of trash and through it away saying that is my old one

i know how you feel same thing happened with me. im also going into freshman year. and i was talking to my gym teacher (shes a girl) and one of my friends brought up how much she hates periods this was like a month or two after i turned 14 so i was like ya i havent got my period yet and im worried cuz i still havent gotten it… so my teacher said ask your mom when she got hers so i did and my mom got it freshman year so i was like ohh ok. and about a month or two later i got my period and trust me girl you do nott want it. its okay at the beginning cuz mine only lasted for like 3 days but its different for everyone. and when you get itt if you active your period mite not come like one month and then it will come the next. but like i said everyones different. good luck

Hey girls, im 17, ive had a period since 5th or 6th grade, cant really remember. Trust me just because u have a period doesnt mean your a women or mature, its all in the way u act..I wish i didnt have one, it hurts terribly the first couple of days, and u always worry when you get up there will be a blood stain on your butt. I have to leave school sometimes cuz it hurts so bad. it even hurts to sit down. And also havin period has nothin to do with big boobs, mine are normal, and i like it that way, cuz if i ever have a baby they wont be down to my knees by then. And to WORRIED u can try that and see how it feels, it wont hurt you, and it wont pop ur cherry to put it in there either, just make sure its in far enough if not then it will hurt. But if its right u wont feel like its there at all. Pads are the worst, try to avoid those.

Stop, once you get it, your stuck with it, every month for about 10-40 years. and it is uncomfortable as hell. Enjoy it while your period free. I’m so mad! I’m really flat chested, have no period, no discharge. I ahve hair “down there” and just started with armpit hair, like, little tiny hairs and stuff. I always had one friend who I reklated with ‘cos she didn’t have anything either, but now shes got lots of armpit hair, and the other day she was wearing a revealing top, and she has actually started developing breasts. So now, I feel even more alone. If I talk to my mum she just says that I’ll get it, not to worry and all that. She doesn;t listen to each individual worry and try get me through it. One of my sisters just laughs, and I’m not that close to the other one.
So yeah, I feel really alone. I have literally no-one to talk to about it. Oh, and my friend isn’t even fourteen (I’m fifteen in half a year!) and shes a hell of a lot shorter than me. It feels as if I ahve some sort of curse, that I’ve been singled out by not having it. I just want some-one to at least talk to.

Okay. So, I’ve started getting a few more (visible) hairs under my arms, and starting last night (it’s now 14:46) the top of my left breast has been weirdly painful. Like a long, dull ache which actually hurts.
If you press on it there is a lump aswell (not cancerous!)
Does this mean that they’re growing? I’m incredibly flat chested right now! Not even little bumps or anything! Oh yeah, and I’m fourteen.

Hey, I’m 13 and I have my period I got it back at the start of June u dont want it! Seriously, the first one I had bleed for 7 days! the second was like 5 days and one other one was like 8 days long I was getting worried. It depends on ur body 2. I read in a book some girls don’t get it till 15 or 16 so chill. When u have a period you can’t go swimming in the summer when it’s hot out. u honestly don’t want it trust me.

wow! I literally read this entire page! i feel so much better knowing that hundreds of girls are going through the same thing!
i’m 14 going to be a freshman and haven’t gotten my period either. my friends never talk about periods so im fine there. but im sure they can tell i haven’t gotten mine because im so FLAT CHESTED!!! i don’t have anything! im still wearing a training bra and im too embarrassed to ask my mom to buy me a bra. and i hate when my older sis and mom tell me “you have no boobs!” and “you look like a 5 year old.” i have some hair down there but not alot. i only want my period so i can develop boobs and hips-I WANT TO BE CURVY!! so far, for speeding up the process/making boobs bigger this is what i’ve read:

1. eat and drink more soy
2. drink a lot of milk
3. don’t eat so much junk
4. don’t stress (it just makes it take longer)
5. arm exersizes help with boobs (this seems to work best for bigger boobs)
6. drink green tea/hot drinks (cocoa, tea, etc.)

after reading this im not stressed out anymore which is good. im going to do arm exersizes and drink lots of milk!!

and for all of you who said how your friends laugh at you for this, they aren’t your true friends!

so, i was reading this page for health class and i have to say, everyone here seems pretty pathetic. i know most of the entries were one/two years ago, but for all the 11, 12, 13 and 14 year old girls – you seriously need to stop.
if you’re not old enough to know that there is nothing you can do to make your period come faster, then you’re definitely not old enough to have it.
most women hate having their periods. i know i do.
i hate the cramps and feeling sick for that week.
so (if anyone else reads this and is young) just stop complaining. i’ll gladly swap places with you, and i’m sure the majority of women who have their periods would agree.

Actually, for Embarrassed (491), the brown stuff in your underwear is vaginal discharge. they say you should get your period about 6 months after you start seeing vaginal discharge – not 2 years.

ok, i read through this whole thing, and i’m turning 14 next month, already starting high school, and these are the two main things i have to say:

1. i do not really WANT all the negativities of having a period, but i really don’t want to be probably the only one in all of my high school classes that hasn’t gotten it yet.

2. I also really hate it when ppl. think i’m seven, when really i’m turning 14. i went to go pick up my glasses the other day, this lady sees that i have the book 1984 in my hand, and she asks how old i am (because of obviously the book level) and i said i was 13, going into high school, and she said Oh! wow! i thought you were like seven!!
(i am very very very flat chested, and it also kinda hurts just a little when another girl at school remarks about how flat chested i am, even when they don’t even mean it like teasing..

I Have my period…i had it since i was 11 in grade 6.

Dont rush it, trust me when you have it you will want to go back to the times u didnt have it! So be happy with what u got now!

I’m pretty sure it’s 6 months to a year after vaginal discharge before getting your period. i have not heard about 2 years but it might be possible.
and i don’t know about the discharge either. is it really obvious to tell or will it just look sort of like pee?? i feel embarrassed talking about it with my mom or sister or anyone for that matter!

Okayy i defintly agree qith everyone! i am 14 going to be a freshman next week and still no period…. I have no idea what to do! All of my friends have it except fof one but she is s skinny and flat! so it is normal. I have the biggest boobs in my friend group and no period. All my friends think there is something wrong i am about to tell them i got it even though i didnt. But i swear if my other friend gets it before me i will die!

I dont get y almost all of u want ur period because a lot of the times u have really bad cramps not all people do but some people do. One of my friends had such bad cramps one day at school that she went home because the pain! I just dont get it….i want my period but y cant u just get ur period without all of the cramps and nausea and all that good stuff. im 12 almost 13 and i have all the signs and i have been having discharge for it seems like forver!but i get that all of u want your period to feel more mature but im just saying its a pain …..and not to make u scared but if u get ur period and u have sex its possible u cld have a baby so its one more thing to worry about…. i hope this helped u a little

you know what i absouloutely feel exactley the same way as all of you. i feel left out and really quite alone. i have every sign there is. my boobs are a 34d for gods sake! its like its purposely not starting for some reason. i freqeuntly cry uncontollably about it at night. do you ever feel like screaming at people who have started before you? because i do. a few months ago i found blood in my pants i was over the moon i was literally jumping for joy. it stopped the same day. this was in june, its now september and no sign of another one. it would make me happier than anything im not sure why. all my friends say you dont want it but the point is i really do. its so nice to finally have met some more people who feel exactly the same way. please talk to me about it on

The thing is, you don’t want your period. Hell. I’m suffering from cramps at this very second. It’s horrible. You lose appetite, you feel moody… I mean, who really cares if you don’t have it? omg. im kinda scared cuz im almost 11 (and in 5th grade)and my mom got her period when she was 11 and i have maybe a little more than 1/2 the signs there are. and im almost an 32A (btw im just starting to get boobs .. kinda)and i have some hair down there but not that much (if you know what i mean) . and my best friend got her period in late may and shes almost 11 and she has size like 34A. and ive had a BIG growth-spirt((i used to be really small and short(like the smallest in the grade)) im a size womans 5 1/2 in shoes and im 4 foot 8 inches. im pretty tall for my grade and i wear a bra. my mom doesent really talk about puberdy or anything. but today i tried to show her i need a padded bra but she didnt say anything. and i think im gonna get my period soon cuz ive had a lot of cramps lately, ive been really really really moody and i have a little bit of discharge. but im afaid ill get my period during school. and i dont have like any paintie liners or anything just in case. and i need to shave my legs but my mom won’t let me and hasent really talked to me about it yet. but ive resurched a lot and im just gonna be paicent and get it when i get it. and i dont need to worrie cuz im only 10 but anyway….

i feel the same way, im 13 and a half and have all the signs but armpitt hair my boobs are developing im a 30-32A but not as much as others. i have a close circle of bestfriends (5) and all of them exept me and one other have started, the last few months my other friend who hasnt started (lets call her A) has had a growth spurt and getting moody and god knows how i will react if A starts it before me, i bring pads into school and everytime i get a bit of discharge i hope its my period, just the feeling of slipping the pad into my pants will make me feel well like a women. I am 11 years old. I will turn 12 in about a month and i really want my period to start. My mom started when she was 11 1/2. And my 2 older sisters started when they were 12. But my mom said i developed earlier than them. So i should have my period by now. I have had discharge for 11 months like Lizzy. I am pubic hair and armpit hair, wear a 32a bra. I got both of those 2 years ago!! I excercise regualarly and eat pretty healthy. I had my groth spurt already (my doctor told me).And I weigh 95 pounds. Ladies Ladies!! Trust me you DON’T want your period. Because the only time you will want your period is when you want to be a mother and your all to young for that. So just be patient. And i know from expierence that you will regret saying the things you are now. Because trust me having your period sucks. unless you like felling bloating, constant headaches, and cramping.

I am in high school now and almost 15. My sister had it when she was 11, and my mom 13. I have had discharge for 3 years, and am tired of the ” every girl has her own time” speech. I’m trying hard to find a girl in my grade who looks like she hasn’t had it yet, but I am having a LOT of trouble… I bled when I was 9, but nothing happened after that. Very frustrating.

why do you girls want your period soo bad, its not really fun. you can’t really do the things you do now with your period, you cant swim in pools, (you can with a tampon) but’s it uncomfortable you have to change every 4 hours, and at night.. wash the tough stains if it go’s through the pads. It’s fun i mean it may let you know your maturing but it’s not really fun! I never got mines yet and IM GLAD im 13 btw

I’ve had my period since about October/November of last year… Trust me, you don’t want to have your period. Though I’m one of the lucky ones that doesn’t have stomach cramps, it’s still annoying.

Girls i feel your pain but i think i have it bad. I am 15 and i still havent started my period. i am so desprate to start. I cry myself to sleep at night because i dont feel like a real girl. i am 32A and my boobs only just fit in the bra. I am embarrased to be seen in a bikini! I have pubic hair: legs, genital and over the past 2 months i have started getting it under my armpits. 7 months ago i was in PE (last lesson) and when i got home and went to the toilet i had a dark red blood stain(the size of a 1 pence piece)in my knickers. But since then i have only had really heavy thick discharge every now and then. Somedays its been so bad it has come out of my knickers. Also i have had discharge for over 4 years :S But im still wondering why i havent had a regular period. I get pains around my fallopian tube area every now and then. hey me again (my other comments were 363 and 369 please read my other comments it will help).I’m 13 and 1/2 years old and in grade 8. In my other comments I said I didn’t have my period..but I got it this summer. I just stopped stressing over it and then one day BAM! it just came. My first period lasted 9 days straight and was pretty heavy. I didn’t get alot of cramps. I got my period in August and it is now the begining of October. My second period (if you can even call it that) was about a week late. It only lasted a couple days and it was just a few blood spots in my underwear. I like didn’t even need a pad. I still didn’t get my third period and it should have come by now. I’m starting to get a few cramps so i’ll probably get in a few days. My mom says what i’m going threw is completly normal and that the first few months are always irregular. Getting my period wasn’t that bad at all. Sure you get a few cramps and stuff from time to time but it’s a releif since all my friends have it and I don’t feel all alone and wishing it will come.

For you girls that were like me and really want it, just stop stressing over it. It will come when you don’t expect it to and when the time is right. It doesn’t change your life or anything. And if your nervous and don’t want to get it at school just always have a pad with you. The first time it comes theres not enough blood to go threw your pants or anything so stay calm!

So don’t freak out and think you have a problem if someone yonger than you gets it first. I’m not sure exactly what stage in puberty you have to be in to get it or what size boobs you got to have or whatever. But I’m thirteen and I got my period almost 2 months ago. I had discharge for a couple years, I already shaved my legs and armpits, i had size 32-34A bra (a little big for me thow)and I had plenty of pubic hair. my mom got it at 12 almost 13 years old. So that’s just to give you an idea ofwhen you night get it but remeber every giris different! A girl in my class has pretty big boobs (like B-C or something)and last time we talked she didn’t have it yet.

hey girls i know your all anxious to get our periods i was the same way! i used to pray that itwould come sooner until the night i got it when iwas 11 i prayed it would go away! but everyones different and your bodies will develop, along with your period coming. just be PATIENT & dont wish sand wait for it to come because that will only make things worse, and makeit seem longer. Im 13 years old and i got my period a few months ago. At first i was really jealous about all of the girls who had it and stuff. I would always read all of your guys’s comments and wish i had it. Out of all my friends there was only 3 people without it. I had discharge for 3 years and boobs for 3 years before i got it.Reading all of these comments made me feel better.
Before i got my period i got brown discharge for 3 days. I was at my dads house when i first got it. I was shaking when i had to tell him becouse i was so scared. It only lasted for 4 days the first time. I only had blood in my pad too not in my pee. I really sucked cause i was going on a trip and we were going to go swimming. i didnt want to use a tampon though.
I got my period again 20 days later!!! i went away with my family for the weekend too and they could hear me changing my pad cause to was so loud.
Now i started my period for the third time and i am starting to wish i didnt have it because i have no pms or anything. Yesterday i was watching a soccer game and i could feel it leeking through my pants i had a pad on too. There was no bathrooms nearby and i had to wear a blanket all day. then there was a dance at my school the next night and i leeked through my jeans when i was grinding a really cute guy. then today i was going to the bathroom at lunch to change my pad and i dropped it. i lied saying it wasnt mine but everyone had seen me drop it. I am on a swim team so i need to learn to use a tampon but i dont want to.
i was thinking of how lucky i felt to have my period because that means you can have a baby some day. But i really dont like it anymore and i just wish it woulld stop. It smells bad and i feel like everyone knows when im on it. If i could do something to make it stop i would. so whoever wants it thats okay!!! cause its not a bad thing. afterall you an most likely have a baby. i felt the same as you less than 3 months ago but now when i read your comments im jealous of the people who havent had it yet because its not fun theres nothing fun about it at all!!! so just remember this and i will bet you anything that after you have your period you will believe mee <3

Im emma, im 13 and got my period 4 months ago i was suprised when i got it cause i didnt feel more mature or more like a woman. it actually made me feel more uncomfortable when i was on it. I want my period to happen some time soon. I know that it will hurt and be painful, but feeling left out hurts too. I am 13 and literally all my friends have theirs. When the all are like I am gunna start in a week or something, it makes me feel excluded. I am thankful that i am only 13, and I should not complain, because I have read all the older girls stories. if you have breasts devoleped public hairs got head aches mood swings tummyaches VERY much discharge then you will get it any day.

IF youre period happens at school and you dont have a pad ask a friend or fold up toilet paper does the same thing,if it happens in middle of class then ask if you can go to the bathroom.

let mother nature have a rest and stop stressing youre body will get it when its ready to get it and eat healthy and do sport will make it come faster Oh and drink tons of garlic tea i heard it makes youre period come very soon.

okay so guys, i am seventeen, and i hadnt started mineby last year, so the doc gave me a medicine to make i start. and it did. and now i wish i wouldnt have had it rushed because now i seems like i’m always on my period at the worst times. like prom! and when i went on vacation to hawaii i was on it the whole time so i couldnt swim in the ocean because sharks are attracted to the smell of blood. so girls, just be patient. let nature take its course. you will start it when your body is ready.

Girls, girls! I know I sound old by saying this but so be it. I don’t see why everyone WANTS a period. They’re not fun at all. Everyone of my friends that I have talked to hate it. actually,my problem is the total opposite,im 12 and i started when i was 11,i wuz in science class and it bled thru my pants!!!!! so i then had 2 borrrow a friends jacket,tell my science teacher(thnk god shes a girl),go 2 the nurses office,and call my mom,but of course she couldnt pick me up,so i had 2 get a ride frm another friend,im soooooooooo embarassed!!!!!! i fell like an idiot,and this totally sux!!!! trust me u dont wanna start ur period,ull get cramps,act like a bitch all the time,u cant eat ice cream,u cant swim,itll hurt even more if u eat any thing cold or if u stay in the cold,u cant run or else itll hurt,and u mite have 2 put a blanket or towel under u when u sleep if u bleed ALOT like me.

You will, you will start getting hurt about thing’s eaiser & seeing things that you havent really seen in you’r pannies befor! Ha, dont freak! If you feel like it’s time, start wearing pannie liner’s. Becasue you’r first time, is never heavyy. So, you probly won’t bleed through.

i was wondering, does your discharge change before you start your period coz mine is like white and strechy. i do excersice alot and eat lots of fruit but i dont really like vedgtables lol i like peas n potatoes though but if i had to eat vedgtables i would. i dont HATE them.

Yeaah im 12 , 13 in december.. and i wnt my period bad too. Ive been getting discharge its white sometimes and then clear. ive got pubic hair and hardly any armpit hair. my boobs are small ( 28a alsmot 30a ) sometimes i get stomach ache and stitches in my side and sometimes my boobs ache when i wake up in the morning.

For Sarah (536), I know EXACTLY how you feel! Im going to be 15 too and im flat! I always feel like all the older girls are staring at me in the halls.
The other day we were at Costco and i went with my sis who is 16 (only a year and a half older!!) to try a cake sample. The lady gave her a piece but when i went up she said “You need a parent with you” and my sis was like “oh im with her” and she just said “oh ok!” I was sooo embarrassed!!! Im in 9th grade for crying out loud!

But for all of you who want some help, my health teacher told us that a girl’s body knows she is ready when she is over 100 pounds so she has enough to support a child.

me again! I recently heard that you get your period around the same time as people you are close to and hang out with. like my sis and her friends usually get theirs around the same time.
idk if that means that the 1st time you get it is around the same time or that when you start getting it monthly it falls around the same time but i think its the monthly one because all my friends seem to have theirs.

Nobody knows when you have it? So how does having your period help you fit in? Reallyy? And if most of ur friends have it and u don’t, don’t worry! It’ll come sooner or later! Just chillll outt. I don’t really understandd why you guys would want it, it sucks. Trust meee. !!!!!!! Ok all you young girls i totally understand where your coming from i remember when i was 12 and 13 how much i desperately wanted mine. now im 17 and i STILL havent gotten it yet and honestly im glad. I dont want it at all now that the excitement of all my friends and classmates has worn off everyone really hates it. The only thing that makes me annoyed is my younger sister recently got hers and im not jealous im just frustrated bc its soo embarassing and awkward. I mean, i hate being so much older and still not having it but i mean you have it for like 50 years of your life so seriously if I can wait as long as possible thats better for me….

Ok, you pre teens and teenagers, your becoming adults, don’t worry about your period or boobs, it ll happen, it might take forever, but itll happen, be happy that you can go swimming without sticking something up ur vagina, I hated haveing to do that , it hurt me the first time I did it, because I did not know how to put it in, the tampon was cardboard, now they have the plastic applicators and those are alot more easy to put in (if your vagina opening is tight) anyway, I heard soy products can delay your period and might even make you infertile, not to scare those who love soy, but if you have been takin them soy products alot, stop, try to diversify your diet, eat greens, different fruits-kiwi, passionfruit (whole) broccoli, milk with a and d vitamins, eat ramen noodles (this helped me with my boobs) and exercise only three or four days a week, dont overdo it though, try meditation this is great if you are stressed from school okay. Another thing I read is KFC causes you to have too many hormones being secreted causing some girls to ge t their period early. My family ate KFC, but I am 32 and I did not find out about this research study until I was 30, and I started my menses when I was 11, so go figure…if you have a bf this is even better because the attraction and emotions you have help you regulate your cycle if it is puppy dog love and you guys like eachother in a friend type way

luckilly it happened when i was home, but i had it through my whole vacation trip to NASA space center

*if you have your period at school, go to the nurse’s office. tell her you think you just started your period and you need a pad. you’ll feel like you wanna crawl into a hole and die, but it’s better than sitting in wet underwear all day
*if you think it stained- eek! how embarassing! tie a jacket around your waist to cover it up
*if you feel cramps- drink pleanty of water, take a hot bath, take advil/pain reliever, exercise
*i think you’re going to be okay ^^

Hey, I’m 13 too and I haven’t had mine yet either. Are you really athletic? I have been in gymnastics for 7 years, and am now in figure skating. Many people had said that being very sporty can delay your period. If you’re not very athletic, you will probably get it sooner or later.
