IUD Pros and Cons

Women's Health Forums: I've used birth control pills for 2 months but I was gaining weight about 10 lbs or so in 2 months. I decided to stop the Pill and have an IUD inserted. I am also planning to get pregnant after a year or so. I am not sure if I should go ahead with the IUD, or about the IUD's effectiveness and possible risks. I need advice on the use of the IUD. Have you used the IUD?
