umm well i dont know if this bump is bad or not it is kinda painful when pressured and not usually im eating healthy….im no a really healthy diet. what is wrong with me?

i’m 18 y/o and i experienced something similar a while ago. about 6 months ago i got a pimple sized bump hard to the touch and filled with pus in my groin area. i’m sexually inactive(except masturbation) and have never had any STDs. i think it might just be irritation of clothing, perfume or stress that cause these to happen. i’ve had them quite often and i don’t really know why.

Ever since I was little I thought it was normal to have pimples on the inner parts of my vagina. Some I can pop some I cant, it always seemed to be the texture of my skin, just bumpy? I have had a small, re-occuring bump that shows up every few months. It doesn’t always come back in the exact same spot and I’ve had it come and go for many years. I am 19 years old, have never had sexual intercourse, and I’ve been terrified to find out what it is. well, you could try and squeeze it and see if something comes out, does it get kinda big like a wart, or does it look a little bit similar to a wart? you MIGHT just have an ingrown hair, i’ve had two of these my whole 16 years of living, all i used weas tweezers to remove the hair inside of it[its pretty long] and its dead hair so it is wet and looks like a long bug but dont get scared, lol. but then after that just keep digging in it to get the scb off and if it starts bleeding leave it alone because the rest will heal by itself and leave you with a small scar like me, i hope this helped!

Hi Dr.195, I went. You are right for sure, better safe then sorry. ….but now I’m so bummed I cant sleep. I had some nether itching for a few days and figured it was a yeast infection coming. This morning I woke up with 2 medium sized bumps next to each other about an inch from my vagina. They were round (the larger of the 2 was about the size of a mosquito bite), round, some what hard and appeared that it might be fluid filled. They itched mildly (but so did everything down there for a few days), were pinkish in color, and there was no pain until I went to scratch and accidentally damaged hurt one of them. Although they seemed fluid filled, they did not seem puss filled. (No fever or flu symptoms)
I freaked and sat around waiting for 8am to roll around so I can call a doctor. He said its not yeast. He said that the larger bump looked like an ingrown hair but then didnt see why there would be 2 of them (I later found a third). He sent me out for a herpes blood test and told me to come back if I the bumps turn into blisters. The worst part is that I have only had sex in monogomous relationships and have been with my current boyfriend for over a year and a half.
Do I even want to know. Based on the reading that I’ve done, the symptoms of Herpes are so much milder then a life time with the stigma of the “STD carier” albotross hung around my neck. Is it really worth knowing you have it?! Simplex 1 is totally dismissed by most as a none issue, Simplex 2 has virtually the same symptoms. Augh!

When I was getting out the bath I noticed a thick, mucas white and dark brown, redish blood that smelled really bad. I told the doctor about this and she examined me and prescribed 2 douses of anti-biotics and pain killers. Ive been on them for 4 days now and the lump had started to clear and it has stopped hurting. I suggest to anyone that finds a lump to make an appointment with a doctor straight away.
Wow…I thought I was the only person that was experiencing these bumps around my vagina and near the genital areas. Its a relief to know that this is common in women. I get them quite often and they are painful. Most of them are hard about the size of a pimple and sometimes larger. Some were soft enough to squeeze cause I cant stand the sight of them. Sometimes there itchy for whatever reason. However, they make me really self-conscious. By the time I can make it in to my doctor, there gone. Usually, I get in a hot bathtub and just sit there and in a few days there gone. Its a little embarrasing for me because my partner wouldnt understand and probably would freak if he saw or felt them. Im not sure what causes them, but after reading most of the coments it can possibly be ingrown hairs because I do shave everything so that could be one of the reasons that cause it. Hi. I have found a bump in my vaginal area and would like help determining what it might be. It is red with a white center (kind of like a head). Its small about the size of a zit. Its in the upper part of my vagina close to where I shave but still under the lips. Well, I have been getting these bumps around my Vagina for the past 6 months now. They are purple and white like alot of yours. To all, I have read through about half of the 286 comments listed and have had similiar issues for the last 8 years. I am certainly not an expert but have gone to my Gyno (of 10 yrs) and have worked with the knowledge he has provided regarding the pimple like bumps on my labia(s). Im starting to make the distintion between two types of cysts. There is a sebaceous cysts and Bartholin Gland Cyst. The labia minor are a sebaceous cysts and the Bartholin Gland cysts located more towards the opening of the Vagina and the Hymen, both are not linked to any type of STD. The Batholin cysts can be bigger in size. According to my Gyno I can asperate the sebaceous cysts myself once they come to a head (keeping it clean and dry as possiple to prevent infection) or let them go away on their own (only 2 out of a dozen+ have done this). Sitz baths have helped the discomfort. He has also prescribed antibiotics occasionally to take down the swelling and possible infection called Cephalexin. I have found lots of other people who have more of these when they have more stress in their life, I have been under some stress lately and one just came to a head and have one I just notice and should come to a head in the next couple of days. They are so uncomfortable and I feel for all who have these reoccuring cysts… Please take care of yourself and I hope I have helped someone… Kasey
One last thing, according to my Dr. when “popped” the yellow tindged is not puss it is Sebaceous fluid. The skin is lubricated by sebaceous fluid. Sebaceous fluid can build up in a pore. When squeezed, a small dome-shaped projection will appear representing the opening of the cyst. This may allow material to be squeezed out. When blood follows it is good as it is cleaning out the area of infection. Either way please do not feel ambassased, go to the doctor. Be safer with knowledge and a peace of mind. Kasey
okay so my doctor says that the BIG RED bump i have near the opening of my vagina could be a “skin tag” (looks fleshy red, kinda flat looking, and is somewhat hard)…but just to make sure everything is okay im going to see a gynecologist.

About 6 months ago I started to get a bump located on my inner lip on the top. The bump went away and than came back 2 months later. I squeezed the bump and white puss and than blood came out. A month later I noticed another bump on my other inner lip which was around the same area and about the same size. Now lately it has seemed like i get them more and more. there like a zit, first i can’t pop them and after a day or two i can. I read from other comments about hormone bumps, which in my case makes since because i was on birth control for about 6-8 months. after i stopped i had mad mood swings, the main reason i got on birth control was because i would go 35-43 days without my period. Plus im stressed a lot. Please let me know what they are. Im so busy i dont have the chance to go to the doctor, but if i know its something more serious than hormone bumps I will go. thank you.

i think were forgetting that we’re females n down there we’re not dry. we are very moist n wet. so if u sweat one day and haven’t taken a shower for that whole day, we are bound to get a little irritated. i don’t know about bumps with white puss, but remember it could also be a pimple. pimples n some bumps occur when there is bacteria around. bacteria can also occur because u r sexually active, but it doesn’t always mean u have an std.
basically what i am saying is we females r going to get bumps n etc. ingrown hair bumps, sweat bumps, n pimples r natural. but if u have a bump that hurts so bad that u can’t bear to touch n discolored puss comes out of the bump, then u should seek a doctor.
make sure u don’t have sexual intercourse with anybody while these bumps occur, any bumps, especially without a condom. these bumps r open wounds n even if u r wearing a condom, skin on skin contact can cause many different kinds of problems.
Hi, Im 17 and i’ve been sexuall active for 2 years now. About a month ago i had problems peeing, it kinda stung. and i had a constant yukky smell from my vagina. Hello everyone. I’ve had some of the same similiar problems that you have had. I went and saw my gyno because I knew something was wrong. He did more tests and all this stuff. Come to find it, it was HPV or a strain of it, which was genital warts. Anyways, if you go to your doctor and explain all your symptoms then he will run tests. Later on if he believes its HPV then he will do a colosocopy, where he basically looks inside your vagina with a microscope. But anyways, after you are diagnosed then he will prescribe you a medication cream. He will explain to you that you need a clean vagina and that you should put a thin layer of the cream on the affected area. HPV is an STD but it will go away eventually. You could get it anywhere. I know it sucks but it’s an STD that goes away after time. It doesn’t stay with you forever. But after treatment is over and the disease is gone, you should get the shot to prevent HPV, which includes the wart strains and the cervical cancer. I’m not a doctor but I know how it feels. It’s hard to deal with but you learn to cope because after you do some research, you learn that things will eventually get better. Good luck all! =)

u guys ever thought it could be a cyst?… look into it before you start thinking you have an infection of some sort. because i have one but its benign…harmless, full of air. althought some aren’t..they could be full of sum liduid substance that your body is trying to rid itself of. dont always assume infections.

Okayy, so I went to the doctor and it was a sebaceous cyst. It burst in the morning before the appointment and she said that’s what usually happens and then prescribed me some antibiotics. Not sure what they do if it stays swollen but its best to get checked out. It’s no where near as embarrassing as you’d think it would be!
Within the last three weeks I found a lump right on the outside, left, of my vagina. It is about the size of a pea. Just recently a few more bumps, not lumps, have shown up elsewhere. about a year ago i had a dime size lump in my pannie line, i was really scared and had my mom look at it, she had to pierce it and drain the fluid out. After that it went away. and i never really thought about it.
Though after a year went by, it came back 4 weeks ago. Really big, really soar, the top of it was like the size of a marble and purpley and it didn’t come to a head it was round and shinny.

Well about 4 days ago it was back harder and more sore then ever it was horrible it was dead set in my pannie line, it hurt when i walked, sat or did anything? i had no idea what it was or why it came back or why it was so big? i told my boyfriend i thought it was a hive (i get those alot.) well the other night i was fed up and grabbed a safety pen and some peroxide went to the bath room and locked the door!
the marble thing was like the size of a gum ball and i held it with my thumb and finger and pierced it at the top. It went straight threw with no resistance, and no pain and as soon as i did it a whole lot of yucky thick weird colored stuff came out and the thing pretty much deflated? i kept pushing on it after that and then cleaned it up wraped it up and felt so much better!
the night after that i went to clean it and i noticed how stretched out my skin was. i stretched it slightly and freaked out! there was a whole in my skin! i mean a whole not BIG but freakin big okay…. i freaked out and got my momma. she said it will heal and its just swollen.
it seems to be a sebacious cyst, and im keeping it clean and bandeged with neosporin.

I’m still worried, I’m happy to know what it is! But I’ve had it bandaged for about three days now and cleaning it with peroxide, but it still looks like it has stuff it it its still gooey and some what hard and doesn’t seem like its heeled any. And Everywhere I’ve read says that popping them is a high risk of infection and ahhhh what else can i do to make it go away and stay away?!?!?! And how long will it take for that whole to heal?
I found a cyst on my vaginal area where a ladies sensitive part is. Ive had them before so wasnt worries. However this time i thought it had burst open slightly because there appeared to be a black line like a cut. Then i saw a hair. I used tweezers and managed to remove a bunddle of straw legthed hairs from my cysts and inner vaginal wall. Right now, I’m on my period and the second day of being on it, I found a weird looking spot near my vagina. It looks like a blister, but I know it’s not because I can press on it and whatever it is goes back inside my skin and I can feel a hole. Long ago it use to be a dark brown color because I use to have a razor burn there, but now it’s gotten worse. girls i wouldnt worry about those sore lumps you get on the lips of your vagina.i get them to, sometimes a couple days after i shave, and sometimes i get them without having to shave. i figure they are really infected in grown hairs. once they get big and sore enough i just pop them and in a day or two its healed and gone.hope this helps.
Hi, I’ve had some bumps on my vagina that have been there constantly for over a year. I’ve never tried squeezing them and they only hurt when i put pressure on them. they are about 1mm in size so not big at all and are flesh coloured but turn white when poked? not sure what word to put. i cant remember if i had these before i had sex but ive been checked out for stis and stds 3 times and the gynos have never picked up on them :s. I know that it is embarrassing and hard to discuss this type of stuff with your mom, but the symptoms you are having don’t neccessarily have anything to do with sex or masturbation. If you want you can tell them you are having pain when you pee, this is a sign of a urinary tract infection. then you can ask your mom not to go in the room and then tell the doctor what is going on your doctor will ask you about sex but that is just to elimnate things related to sex. You need to take care of yourself it is probably nothing serious but if it was and you didn’t get it checked out then it could turn into much worse.

I have to question why you are still shaving often when you are obviously irritated. Stop shaving so you can start healing and if you are having pains while in the washroom or not you really should pay a visit to a doctor. You may need a percription to get rid of the pain as it may be an infection, either viral or bacterial or an inflammation. Tests will probably need to be done to determine what you may or may not have but a doctor have a skilled eye and can usually tell what your bump may look like. Last night I took a shower and was washing and I felt a ruff spot on the inside lips of the vagina. I looked in the mirror and was shocked. hey ladies. i went to my doctor because i had a lump on my clitoris and it was sore and i couldnt see it. but i could feel it was there. it turns out it was just a sweat pimple (gross i know) and it went away. she told me it would probably get a white head like a pimple but it didnt. i changed my underwear like four times a day just to be careful and it went away on its own. she told me that a lot of women get sweat pimples in their genital area. she also said if it hurts, then you shouldnt worry too much. you should check with your doctor about it and everything of course but she said most bumps from STDs dont even hurt or itch or anything. they are just kinda there. so you should check with your doctor of course but for girls that are virgins especially and all the ladies in general, its most likely a sweat pimple.

I have had serious medical problems in the last 4 yrs with many surgeries and almost non stop various staph infections. I have not had sex in almost 5 years since I got sick. I started with a fever, low temp, then thought I would scream when I went to pee. I did go get a urine test done and was told I had a minor UTI. However, the pee felt like it was burning my skin, not that it hurt so much coming out but that it was burning my skin. Today I noticed on the Labias tiny pimplish looking bumps. I am on a strong antibiotic for the UTI but the bumps really hurt!I did not have them until 4 days after the pee pain. I have noticed in the past that if I used the wrong kind of hair removal I would get ingrown hairs but this is very different. I do not have them on my vagina, just the labia major to the vagina. The other areas are really red. Answers?

ok…so to the women who have not had sex and to those “safe-sexers”…your condition is “boils.” boils come when your body has more bacteria goin on than usual (ex. your period). i went to the doctor when i was 16 about a boil. i thought it was herpes…idk why cuz i hadn’t been sexually active. he said “it’s boils, and there is nothing we can do about it…it’s prolly genetic.” so i went online, like i always do when i don’t believe my doctor. i read that boils come from bacteria and they can occur on your body where ever the sun don’t shine…so i thought to myself…hmmm, if they come from bacteria, use ANTIbacterial soap! so…get some antibacterial soap (i use Dial), lather it in your hands (do not use a washcloth) and hand wash your vagina. hit me up with an email if it works for you…cuz basically, for some of you, i will bring back that “down-there” confidence.

For the past 3 months when I have sex usualy is when this occurs but not always. On the skin between my anus and my vaginal hole I get a lil raised up raw spot. It’s not a bump really. Just like a raised up raw spot and it hurts a lil bit obviously cause it’s raw.

But today I finally bilt up the nerve to go and finally found out they were boils and he popped them and gave me meds for the pain. Its a common problem in women. Most of what you guys are describing sound like boils and or sebaceous cysts they are harmless and they are not a sexually transmitted disease, using hot compresses will help them come to a head and drain.

I have had a bump (like a pimple) on the outside-left labia, it has been there for months, Every so often (especially around my period) it swells up and when squeezed pus and blood come out of it. I had one on the right side a few years back and “popped” it like twice and it went away. Although I can feel almost like a crater where it was. At first I was unconcerned about this new bump because I figured it was like the previous bump, basically a pimple (I can’t really see it). But since it has been quite awhile and I have popped it several times (every time there is blood, occasionally pus)and there have been times when I thought that it was gone because I couldn’t feel it anymore, but it keeps coming back usually right before my period, I am getting worried. I do not have health insurance, and while I can probably swing a visit to a Planned Parenthood clinic, I am scared because if it’s something serious I don’t know how I will afford to have it treated…

I just wanted to add that the night before I noticed the second mentioned pimple, I wore a thong for the first time in a long time. I also noticed some mild itching. If that was related to the yeast infection, could a yeast infection cause a pimple? It was also in the very place where the thong would have been rubbing. I was also wearing a non-breathing g-string and acrylic shorts the night before I got the third, however I can’t remember what I was wearing before I got the first.
Every pimple was a single pimple with no other ones around it. Thought I should mention.

On the left side of my vagina, there was once a small harmless looking bump. It wasn’t actually on the vagina, but on the skin near it. I panicked, but I left it alone and didn’t touch it. After awhile it reduced vastly in size and it wasn’t even visible anymore, but if I felt around for it, it was like a tiny tiny bump, maybe similar to how you would get tiny pimples on your face. I am so sorry nobody answered your questions, but I will share some experience with you, a bump surrounding the anus could be a vein a form of hemorroides and need treatment, it is itching because the swelling, preparation h is a temporary relieft, no because it is in such place has to be a STD, any place could be sick, get a cist, a hair root infection,the reason is the type of underware that lately is not to protect you but to show off, cottom is the best, is not allergenic, and if you use something to cover not cut throught your vagina maybe you will not get these bumps, in roach infested places these insects go where is humidity to eat nourishing juices and their favorite spots are around your mouth and vagina, so that needs to be careful about, and last, clean your toilet before you use it, wet a towel or paper with soap, and another dry one so you clean your toilet and then seat, you could get any bacteria, virus from other users…if the situation is taking care by your inmune system in a 3-4 days that means it is more serious than expected and you will need to go to a doctor for a lab test, biopsy, do not allow the dr to just give you a prescription without a lab test, they could be dead wrong…unless it is hemorroides, thats easy to see.rosita

I noticed a brown mole thing towards the back of my vagina and I didn’t worry too much about and wasn’t sure if it always had been there until another brown one came up a year something later on one side of my inner labia and then another came up a while after that. also one side of my labia is a quite bigger than the other and really bumpy but it doesn’t look at all like warts. I also have a freckle that came up on my leg around there. could it be possible that any or all of this is hpv? I’ve been tested but i’m not sure if they tested for that but my pap smear was normal. does that mean I don’t have hpv? please help.

i have this hard black bump on my vagina my grandma is a nurse and says it looks like and ingrown hair bump and it probably is because i got it a couple of days after shaving down there but its to hard to pop,it doesnt hurt or itch i just dont want it there, ive had hair bumps before and have been able to take a needle and pop the bump but this one wont pop, im also pregnant could this have anything to do with the bump please please help i would love to get rid of this ugly thing

10 days ago I woke up and there was an incredible itch on my labia minora, after i scratched it I noticed an area was slightly raised. I didnt not think anything of it, as its happened before. However, by that same night it had increased in size to be a medium sized bump/lump/lesion. It was paintful to touch then and very smooth and pink. However as the days past it went down and stopped hurting. I thought it was jsut going away but recently I noticed that it has been itching ALOT and its also gotten very soft. Before it was hard and now its soft. THis change has scared me. Im terrified. Im 20, only been with 2 sexual partners who were both my long term girlfriends and I assumed both of them safe. This occurred randomly, I hadnt had sex for 6 months when it occurred! I’m so scared that my one of them has given me an STD. Im from a tiny tiny island in the Caribbean with little access to a gyno. I dont know what to do- I cant very well go to a doctor, the situation here is so homophobic and so gossip-driven, i’ll be ruined even if it isn’t herpes. Oh help me please im so scared I dont know what to do!
I have a small black bump on one side of my vaginal lips, I do not know if it is a mole or what, but when I apply pressure to it it hurts. Also I have had sexual intercourse but not in the last two months, and it itches internally and externally on my vagina, I am worried it may be an infection. I have been postive for the UTI but negative for Herpes. Thank you very much

i have a lump I think it might be a zit or pimple on my top lip of the vagina, like right before the split of skin starts. When i touch it, it hurts, but i don’t know how i got it I never had sexual intercorse with anyone yet and Im REALLY scared!
