I appreciate this advice, but it sounds canned and scripted. Please read:” How Doctors Think” by Jerome Groopman. It explains how patients are treated in this age of HMO’s. Furthermore with hospital mergers and acquistions and all of them focused on the pocketbook-it is becoming dangerous to be in the inpatient setting. Please continue to question any and all advice because most of it is scripted and inpersonal. Hang in there!
