What is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome?
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder affecting an estimated 7 percent of all women. PCOS is the most common hormonal disorder that affects women. Experts say the actual number of women affected by PCOS may be as high as one out of ten. The belief, among some, is that this may be because of the large number of women with undiagnosed polycystic ovary syndrome.
