Simple Ways to Prevent the Leading Cause of Death in Women
Wednesday July 30, 2008
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women in the U.S. While it’s true that the majority of women still believe that breast cancer is the leading cause of death in women, the truth is that more women die of heart disease each year than die of all types of cancer combined. Sadly, the fact is that only thirteen percent of women are even aware that heart disease is number one killer of U.S. women. Almost 500, 000 different women lose their lives to heart disease annually: women who are moms, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and daughters. The good news is that heart disease is the most preventable cause of death in women. Heart disease prevention is easy, if you follow a few simple tips...

I have no heart problems neither in my family. But could I possibly die of heart attack? I mean I have no history of heart ailments even before. But I just want to know. Is it possible?
Yes, you’re at risk! We all are at risk, just how at risk you are I can’t say. Having a family history of heart disease does increase your risk, but it doesn’t mean you have no risk. Follow the healthy diet and exercise and other components of my article that you might consider a risk to yourself. If you want to learn your percise risk of heart disease see a cardiologist for a risk asscessment.

i have a heart murmer that is pretty bad is that going to lead me to heart attack at an early age?
I knew a young girl who died of a heart attack at the age of 29. She was overweight and underwent weight loss surgery a few months before she died. The surgery might have put too much stress on her body causing the heart attack and her death.
I have experienced, as late as last night, pressure in the middle of my chest with pain in right jaw, sometimes right arm. I have gone to our local ER and they take stomach xrays and send me home with “indigestion.” I have had an endoscopy which ruled out gastro problems & ultrasound which ruled out gallstones. This pressure is like having an elephant sitting on me; I almost went to the ER again but did not due to “looking like a hypochondriac or a stressed out woman.” Who do I turn to or should I just “relax?”
