One of Four Women Infected with Herpes Virus

Forty-five million people in the United States are infected with the herpes simplex virus (HSV). According to the CDC, one out of five adolescents and adults is infected with herpes. Sadly, women face a greater risk than men of becoming infected, with one out of every four women infected with the herpes virus.
