One third of all women between the ages of 30 and 50, and half of women of all ages, may at some point, be told by their physician that they have fibrocystic breast disease or other benign breast conditions. Other terms women may hear include benign breast disease, chronic mastitis (inflammation), and mammary dysplasia. Find out what benign fibrocystic breast disease means and learn what you can do to relieve the pain associated with this benign breast condition.

It’s so ironic that I found this article tonight b/c I just had a mammogram this afternoon. I have been putting it off since 2007! I know that women over 40 should get a
mammogram every year and now that I am 45, I fall into that category. Well, my right breast is ok but my feft breast has had some pain lately, and I’m not sure why. When the mammo tech squeezed my left breast into that mammo machine I almost hit the floor! It hurt so bad!

I’m a 50 year old man, I’ve have reoccurring breast pain. Doctor last year had me get a mammogram and the people at the breast cancer clinic said, it’s only breast growth. I am overly large, on testosterone replacement therapy, this can also cause breast pain as well.
