Chewable Birth Control Pill Now Available

Saturday December 9, 2006
If swallowing pills is difficult for you, a new oral contraceptive may be the right choice for you. This week, drug manufacturer Warner Chilcott's new chewable oral contraceptive became available at U.S. pharmacies. The new birth control pill, called Femcon Fe, has the flavor of spearment and is discreetly packaged so you can carry them in your purse. Femcon Fe contains the same ingredients as the manufacturer's Ovcon 35, a combination birth control pill that has been on the market for over 30 years. The new chewable oral contraceptive is discussed in an article on the Discovery Channel.
