New Breast Cancer Cases Decline Significantly After Women Stop Hormone Replacement

New research announced in the latest issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association or JAMA reports a seven percent drop in the number of new cases of breast cancer. The significant drop in the number of new breast cancer cases in 2003 came just one year after the Women's Health Initiative was stopped early due to an increased risk of heart disease in women taking estrogen.
