Find out what environmental hazardous waste producers operate in your zip code. If you feel that the amount of hazardous waste exposure in your area is unacceptable, take action by writing to your local representatives and demanding that the practice of releasing hazardous wastes into your environment stop. Ask them to enact legislation to call for the investigation of the health effects of all chemicals before they are allowed to be produced, and enact a plan to examine the health risks associated with the chemicals that are currently manufactured.
If you think that your symptoms are related to your environment discuss your beliefs with your physician. He can provide a personalized approach to identifying and dealing with your chemical sensitivities, and eliminating some of the contributing offenders from your environment.
