"I just found out that I have herpes ... I am still in shock as I thought I was careful and this proves nobody can be careful enough I guess. ... The most common sexually transmitted diseases during pregnancy are bacterial vaginosis and genital herpes. STDs such as HIV and syphilis are much less common in pregnant women. This table shows the approximate number of pregnant women affected by specific STDs during pregnancy each year in the United States.
