Question: Is Pregnancy Possible Druing Perimenopause?
Answer: Plain and simple, the answer is yes. As long as you're menstruating, you're ovulating. This means that pregnancy is possible during perimenopause. In fact, pregnancy is possible until menopause occurs which happens only when you haven't had a period for twelve consecutive months. Ask your health care provider about your choices for birth control, unless you want to get pregnant during perimenopause.

Of course, you need to remember that contraceptives do not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases. You still must use a latex condom or dental dam properly every time you have sexual contact unless you are in a long term monogomous relationship.
