Question: When Should I Think About Preventing Bone Loss?
Answer: Bone mass begins to decrease in women about the age of 30. Sometimes genetics and treatment for cancer cause certain women to lose bone density. Getting in the habit of walking, or doing another type of aerobic exercise, at least three times a week for a minimum of thirty minutes and making sure you consume an adequate amount of calcium are two ways you can reduce your risk of bone loss and osteoporosis. You are never too young or too old to begin taking steps to prevent bone loss.
