Question: What are Ovarian Cysts?

Answer: Ovarian cysts are common among women of childbearing age and are usually harmless -- going away without treatment. Similar to blisters, ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs on the ovaries. The ovaries are almond-sized organs that produce eggs, as well as hormones, during the menstrual cycle.
