Question: What Happens After A Colposcopy?
Answer: Recovery after a colposcopy is relatively simple and should be painless if you have not had a biopsy during the procedure. These patients should feel fine immediately.

Women who have a biopsy, such as a LEEP procedure or Cone biopsy, performed during colposcopy may experience some vaginal soreness for one or two days. You may also experience some vaginal bleeding and may have a dark vaginal discharge.
