What Happened When You Had Bleeding Between Periods?

I am 48 and am going through "peri-menopause." My period has been irregular for the last two years and during that time, I have spotting most of the month off and on, and a period of like 5 days. I have constant cramps / pelvic pain, (since 2 weeks ago) and am waiting on another ob/gyn visit. YUK! It's just one of a bunch of symptoms I have had recently and it gets to the point you can't take it -- it's very debilitating. I'm tired of living on Motrin.

What Was The Cause Of Your Bleeding Between Periods?

Not quite sure yet, but fairly certain it's peri-menopause. So far I have just done a lot of blood tests which all came back OK. I haven't been to the gyn in a year. I'm thinking even though it's peri-menopause there is an underlying condition (such as endometriosis, cysts, fibroids, something like that).

Advice

  • I've learned to slow down, just try to do things when I'm feeling good and when I am tired, I've learned to take a break and rest. It helps a bit.
