What Happened When You Were Diagnosed With Gallstones?
I went to the ER with chest pain, thinking I was having a heart attack. They performed a CCP which showed my bilirubin and lfts were elevated. Then an ultrasound showed I had a large amount of stones. I had to have an ERCP since one was lodged in my common bile duct prior to being able to have the surgery.
Advice
- I don't really have any since I didn't have symptoms until my attack mentioned above.

What Happened During Your Recovery?
It was a very quick recovery. The only thing that wasn't pleasant was not being able to lift to prevent a hernia, since I have a 30 lb 2 year old at home.
What Advice Do You Have For Others Considering Surgery?
It was worth it for me but you have to weigh the risks and benefits. I now have almost instant diarrhea after eating certain foods. And lots of uncontrollable gas.
