When Did Your Embarrassing Menstrual Moment Happen?
It happened shortly after my son and I brought home a little kitten! This little kitten, growing bigger and bigger every day, loved to get into things, and as the saying goes "curiosity killed the cat!" Although no cats died in this story. Let's just say my cat liked to go through my bathroom's little trash barrel.
What Happened?
During that time of the month, and at that age I was (approx. 31), and bleeding normally and quite heavily. Like I said, my son and I just brought home a new little kitten, a very curious and mischievous kitten. He loved red meat, and with red meat comes blood. I'm sure you pretty much know the story already, but I'll keep giving you the embarrassing details. At that time I always wore tampons, and when I was done with one, I carefully wrapped it up in toilet paper and threw it away. For a while there, our cat Tom, loved the smell of those tampons and would actually take every tampon out, unravel them and when I'd get home, there were used tampons all over the house. Upstairs, downstairs, kitchen, bath, etc. Thank goodness I never had company with me when I walked in the house, because I would have been more mortified! I had to go around and pick up every single last one with latex gloves and wrap them up better.
Advice
- Instead of just wrapping my used tampons in toilet paper, I wrapped them in toilet paper, but then went one step further and placed them in the new tampon wrapper, so they were double wrapped up.
- Also, as Tom grew up, he grew out of this stage
- Lastly, the only thing I could do to quick fix the situation was Lysol!
