I got my first period on Tuesday the 3rd October 2009 when I was a mere 10 years old.
Where Were You When Your First Period Started?
I was on the bus on the way home from a school trip to see a pantomime. I felt really icky and my head was pounding, it was really not helping that the boys were belting out loud wailing songs.
So I got home, took a head-ache pill and then went to the bathroom. I was so shocked when I saw the blood on the tissue! I immediately went to tell my mother who hugged me and started to cry.
She then got me stuff from her last period, but there wasn't very much since she was pregnant at the time.
Lessons Learned
- Never think you're too young to start.
- Always be prepared.
- Try not to start when your mother, the only girl in your family, is pregnant!
